This summer, “America’s Got Talent” returned for its 18th season with Terry Crews resuming his hosting duties and Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum, Howie Mandel, and Sofía Vergara once again making up the judges panel. As in the past, this year’s champion will take home a $1 million cash prize and be able to showcase their talent as a headlining act in Las Vegas. Only 55 acts get to perform in the “AGT” Qualifiers to compete for America’s vote and hopefully move one step closer to the finale.
Tuesday’s “Qualifiers 3” features encore performances by two Golden Buzzer acts: South Africa’s Mzansi Youth Choir selected by the audience and singer/pianist Putri Ariani chosen by Simon; as well as comedian and pianist Barry Brewer Jr., aerialist and sword swallower Herwan Legaillard, tap dancer Justin Jackson, brass group Mos, violinist Philip Bowen, dance group Phil Wright & Parent Jam, singer Summer Rios,...

What’s old was suddenly New again during Sunday’s American Music Awards, which welcomed an iconic pair of ’80s music groups to the stage for a performance decades in the making.
Actually, it was more of a face-off than a traditional performance. New Edition (Ricky Bell, Michael Bivins, Bobby Brown, Ronnie DeVoe, Johnny Gill and Ralph Tresvant) and New Kids on the Block (Jonathan Knight, Jordan Knight, Joey McIntyre, Donnie Wahlberg and Danny Wood) came together for something billed as the “Battle of Boston.”

When the American Music Awards asked Jennifer Lopez if she wanted to perform during Sunday’s ceremony, she said, “I do.”
Just three days after the trailer for her buzzy rom-com Marry Me set Twitter ablaze (with questions), Lopez took to the AMAs stage for a performance of the movie’s first single “On My Way.” Lopez began the performance seated in a black gown, from which she soon quick-changed into a wedding dress, complete with a veil. (We do love a theme!)

One of the fascinating things about the modern-day music industry is that an artist in one small corner of the world can find global success overnight. When it comes to music discovery, curation is crucial, and platforms like Spotify’s international emerging artist program, Radar, keep eager fans plugged into what’s hot and who’s up next in every genre around the world.
For Australian native, The Kid Laroi, his pop-rock hit “Without You,” remixed with a guest appearance from Miley Cyrus, underscores why he’s a major streaming success right now.

Obviously, the summer of 2020 is not an ordinary season, and Spotify’s predictions for the Song of the Summer reflect that. There are songs like DaBaby’s “Rockstar” (feat. Roddy Ricch), Megan Thee Stallion’s “Savage” (feat. Beyoncé), “Tkn” by Rosalia (feat. Travis Scott) and “Watermelon Sugar” by Harry Styles, which was released in 2019 but continues to stream in high numbers.
But there are also many songs focused on supporting the Black community — some that dropped in the past few days, like Beyonce’s “Black Parade,” H.E.R.’s “I Can’t Breathe” and Lil Baby’s “The Bigger Picture,” and some that are a couple or a few years old, like “This Is America” by Childish Gambino and “Alright” by Kendrick Lamar.
In no particular order, here is Spotify’s list of predictions for Songs of the Summer 2020, which you can stream now in this playlist:
• “Rockstar” by DaBaby, feat.
