Lorenzo Scalzo was born on April 7, 1993 in Loreto, Ancona, Italy.
After graduating from high school at the Liceo Classico & Scientifico "Giacomo Leopardi" in Recanati, Italy, he obtained a bachelor degree in DAMS at the Alma Mater Studiorum University of Bologna. After graduating, he followed a course in Directing and Screenwriting at the "Griffith Academy of Cinema and Television" in Rome in 2018,graduating with honors (30/30).
During his adolescence, thanks to a small youtube channel, he experiments for the first time with writing and directing techniques by creating vlogs and small sketches. It was during his university period that his first real short film, Cluastrofobia, came to life.
In 2018, with the help of his classmates, the "Honor" project comes to life, a short film that will open the doors of festivals around the world to Lorenzo as director and author.
The first festival experiences will allow Lorenzo to create working ties and friendships that will soon lead him to collaborate with the directors Alessandro Fiorucci ("Never Again" - 2020) and Marco Gentili ("Draconis" - 2020; "L'appennino delle streghe" - unreleased), as assistant director.
In 2019 he made the short film "UV - A resistance story", a dystopian action with a vampire theme, which obtained a strong positive response at the festival level.
During the pandemic he made "Memories from the quarantine", a short film that is part of the anthological film "Lockdown '20".
2021 is the production's year of Shelter, a post-apocalyptic road movie made in the second year of the pandemic and which, after a year of festivals enriched with numerous awards, in 2022 becomes public domain, enjoying great success with the public, especially on Youtube.
