- Nick graduated from Christ Church, Oxford in 1974, and was on staff at the BBC as Studio Manager, Radio and Assistant Producer and Producer, TV until 1986 apart from a one year break as a flotilla skipper in the Greek Islands He attended the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School from 1986-7 on a Director's attachment, then worked as a freelance producer/director in both theatre and TV for the next 25 years. In 2010 he joined Bournemouth University as a Senior Lecturer and Programme Leader of their prestigious BA Television Production course, and in 2016 completed his PhD by practice based around his screenplay 'Bangkok Butterfly' - a contemporary gay take on the immortal 'Madame Butterfly' story. In 2016 he took over as Programme Leader for MA Directing Film and Television. In 2019 he joined Falmouth University as a Senior Lecturer in TV Drama. Other writing includes two produced stage plays 'Rough Trade' and 'Queer Counsel' as well as three screenplays. Jan 2019 - 'Bangkok Butterfly' is in development with Poisson Rouge Pictures, produced by Christopher Granier-Deferre.
