Harry Shum Jr. has a big reason to be Glee-ful: He's married!
Shum, who starred on the musical TV show as Mike Chang and next plays Magnus Bane on Shadowhunters, tied the knot with longtime girlfriend Shelby Rabara, a dancer and actress who appeared in a few episodes of Glee, in Costa Rica last month, according to E! News.

Over its six seasons, Glee has consistently proven that it can stick a landing, and the series finale was the absolute epitome of the scrappy musical dramedy's ability to obliterate the memory of the bumpy road behind with one revelatory moment of heart-pumping, tear-jerking, can't-stop-yourself-from-smiling, singing-and-dancing glory.
The series's two-hour finale appropriately ended with One Republic's anthemic feel-good tune "I Lived." Indeed, the show "did it all." It was, for better or (often) worse just as messy and ridiculous as life – but, in its best moments, also as uplifting and powerful.

As many Glee fans already know, you are cordially invited to the wedding of Brittany Pierce and Santana Lopez this Friday night at 9 p.m. on Fox, and now we have our first sneak peek at what exactly the wedding will look like courtesy of all-new photos from tomorrow night’s episode of Glee. As you can see in the photos below, Santana and Brittany’s nuptials bring together most, if not all (where is Quinn in these photos?), of the original glee club members, including Mike Chang (Harry Shum Jr.), who has so far been absent in this final season, and even some of the show’s later additions, such as Sugar Motta (Vanessa Lengies), whose name was brought up only a couple of episodes ago. In addition to to the glee club reunion, though, Friday’s episode, which is aptly titled “Wedding,” will also feature the return of Santana’s mother,...

Not so long ago, a friend and I would scream “Asian!” whenever we saw an Asian actor, anywhere, on TV. I have a distinct memory of freezing the screen the first time I saw Harry Shum Jr. on Glee. Back then, he wasn't Mike Chang or even "other Asian," but just a glorified extra who swayed like a tree in the background. Still, I remember noticing him and thinking, Whoa. He is such a babe. Those were heady times, 2009.The television landscape has changed a bit since then. For the very first time ever, an Asian-American male is headlining a comedy, courtesy of John Cho and Selfie. Cho is acutely aware of how big of a deal this is, saying, “I would call this revolutionary. It’s certainly revolutionary for me.” His role as a Henry Higgins–type to Karen Gillan’s modern-day Eliza Doolittle comes out of a long,...

Harry Shum Jr., Mike Chang in Glee, is joining the martial arts jamboree.Shum, who has movie credits in Step Up 2: The Streets and Glee: The 3D Concert Movie, will play a character called Tie-Fang. He’s one of the four martial arts heroes of an underworld world, alongside Silent Wolf (Donnie Yen) and Yu Shu-lien (Michelle Yeo). The year’s fakest TV show has found its judging panel.
Harry Shum Jr., Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas, and Michael Curry have all signed on for truTV’s Fake Off, a new competition series about the captivating art of faking. Hosted by actor and dancer Robert Hoffman (Step Up 2: The Streets), the series combines Kabuki theater, acrobatics, dance, costume, and illusion as teams are challenged to recreate and reimagine iconic moments in pop culture, all in hopes of being named America’s Fake-Off champion. It’s sort of like the Oscar-nominated film The Act of Killing, except a lot less violent and bloody.

For the last ten years, Harry Shum Jr. has shown his gifts for acting, singing, and most extraordinarily, dance, starring in such films as You Got Served, Stomp The Yard, and Step Up 2 & 3, and moving on to his most famous role, as “Other Asian” Mike Chang on Glee.
Unfortunately, he was always underutilized during his time with the show, but still managed to stand out. He still makes occasional appearances, but has moved on to more film roles (he played Booboo Stewart‘s gay brother in White Frog), and shows us reminders of his incredible dancing ability.
Today is his 32nd birthday, so let’s pay tribute to one of our favorite triple threats.

Previously on Glee, the Old New Directions returned to send the New New Directions off into the abyss while the Old New New Directions prepared to finally graduate from high school. April Rhodes and Holly Holiday also returned, to get soused up in the rafters of the theater and concoct shenanigans for saving the glee club one more time.
April and Holly are palling around the faculty lounge at McKinley, trying to figure out how to make the most out of a game of Kill, Marry, or Bone that prominently features Mr. Schue as the most bone-able contestant. Apparently Sue only hears the words “Will” and “Kill” because she scoots in there with a fire in her eyes and a crossbow strapped to her back. She’s happy to find her friend Holly hanging out; they’ve grown so close these last few days that they bought matching track suits...

If I tried, I could write a recap solely about the film tribute the kids made for Mr. Schue last night and the ensuing reprise of “Don’t Stop Believin’.” I don’t even think I’d have to try that hard. Those six minutes felt like a series finale: a nod to the past, and a glimpse at the future. But we’ll get to that. To kick things off, Tina gets another (!) head injury, and it is my sincere hope that the ensuing hallucination sequence isn’t Jenna Ushkowitz’s lovely parting gift from the series. In Tina’s fantasy of New York, life is an episode of Friends – or, in this case, Chums – complete with an opening sequence that lists Santana and Rachel in tiny, tiny letters as co-stars. Mike Chang exists solely to win Tina back, all her friends are in one place, and Rachel is...

Glee, Season 5, Episode 12, “100″
Written by Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk and Ian Brennan
Directed by Paris Barclay
Airs Tuesdays at 8pm Et on Fox
Glee‘s 100th episode, cleverly entitled “100″, is a reminder of what’s been missing since most the original New Direction members graduated. What could have been, in turns, a little too sweet and fake ends up being a fun episode with enough bite to keep most of the tears at bay. Seeing the gang back together in the choir room singing the classics is nostalgic and unsurprisingly, everyone is back to their high school antics.
Rachel and Mercedes have a diva-off yet again with “Defying Gravity” from Wicked. This number was originally sung by Rachel and Kurt in another of Glee‘s famous diva-offs, which Rachel won after Kurt threw the competition. Strangely enough he’s the third wheel in this number, even though he isn’t...

Things that I had not realized I missed about Old Glee: Mike Chang finding random objects in the choir room and doing arm-flailing dances with them; Puck making up truly ridiculous nicknames for himself; Kurt’s “okay, fine, but I’m too old for this shit” face; Lord and Lady Tubbington. Fortunately, last night’s episode had all that and much more.It would seem that the end of last week’s episode wasn’t all bluster – and forgive me for assuming it might have been, but remember when the show spent two full episodes drawing out Rachel’s “pregnancy scare” and then called it a false alarm? – and the glee club is done for good. All of the original New Directions members are on hand to say good-bye, even though they’re all supposed to be in school, at work, or in the Air Force. It’s a sweet,...

‘The Quarterback’ was absolutely the most emotional, heart-wrenching episode of ‘Glee’ that we could imagine. Paying tribute to the late Cory Monteith and his character, Finn, the originals gathered back at McKinley High School to say one last goodbye.
Rachel (Lea Michele) returned to the choir room on the Oct. 10 episode of Glee, to join the New Directions, where they each remembered their friend, Finn Hudson (Cory Monteith).

When the classmates at McKinley are going through a tough time, singing always makes them feel better. So, it’s no surprise that the current, as well as returning members, took to song to honor their fallen friend, Finn.
“Memorialize him the way we only way we know how – by singing,” Mr. Schuester (Matthew Morrison) told the students. However, it wasn’t an easy thing for the them to do.

There is a good chance that "The Quarterback," this Thursday's "Glee" tribute to Cory Monteith and Finn Hudson will be one of the most emotional hours of television this season. Several months later, Monteith's shocking death still feels a bit raw, and moving music is only going to make that feeling stronger.
What songs will make up that tribute? Listen to six of them here -- music from artists like James Taylor, Bruce Springsteen and more.
The tribute episode will -- not surprisingly -- feature a lot of the original cast of "Glee." A group of those characters -- Mercedes, Santana, Kurt, Puck, Tina and Mike Chang -- will collaborate on the "Rent" classic, "Seasons of Love." Artie and Sam will then duet with "Fire and Rain" by James Taylor. Mercedes gets a solo with The Pretenders' "I'll Stand by You" -- a song performed in Season 1 by Finn. Santana...

While Mercedes (Amber Riley) revealed in an interview that the song she sings on the tribute will be extremely emotional, it’s not the only one.
The cast of the show — which includes returners from season one, will sing “Seasons of Love,” from the Broadway show, Rent, according to Ok! Magazine.
As for the rest of the episode, E! has reported that Rachel (Lea Michele) won’t appear until the final act, for a “limited but incredibly powerful” song. Additionally, Santana (Naya Rivera...

With the ‘Glee’ tribute episode to honor Cory Monteith is set to air on Oct. 10, HollywoodLife.com spoke exclusively to Harry Shum Jr., who you may know as Mike Chang, on what to expect from the emotional, heartfelt special that he returned for.
By the time Harry Shum Jr.‘s character graduated from McKinley High School, he had made a new family, including the late Cory Monteith. On Sept. 5, Harry revealed to us what it was like to return to the Glee set, and to film the “beautiful” tribute episode.

The stars of Glee got back to work last week following a month of mourning their late castmate Cory Monteith, who died July 13 from a combination of heroin and alcohol. For Harry Shum Jr., who plays Mike Chang on the show, being surrounded by people who love Monteith is just what the cast needed.

A great many things happen in the "Glee" Season 4 finale, "All or Nothing." Brittany deals with being a sudden and MIT-bound genius. Ryder finds out the identity of his catfishing buddy. Rachel has a "Funny Girl" callback.
There's a proposal. There's a wedding. And many people sing many songs.
Do any of these things lead to season-ending resolution? Not really, but there's plenty to entertain you on the way.
Good Brittany S. Pierce
Kids, if you want to go to college, you should study hard, ace the Sat and have a bunch of activities. Doodling on the back of a Scantron sheet really isn't enough.
And you can find any pattern you want in randomness if you try hard enough. Just saying ...
"Brittany, it's possible that you might be the most brilliant scientific mind since Albert Einstein."
Rachel is all alone
But she can sing really good. Not that it matters.

David E. Kelley has one of the most singular voices in TV today -- it usually only takes a minute or less to realize you're watching one of his shows, and medical drama "Monday Mornings" is no exception.
Kelley used to be one of the biggest showrunners in network TV. After collecting a boatload of Emmys for "Picket Fences," he went on to create hits in "Chicago Hope," "Ally McBeal" and "The Practice." He also had a few high-profile flops, but it wasn't until the consecutive cancellations of "Boston Legal" and "Harry's Law" -- both victims of their older-skewing demographics -- and a futile attempt to get a "Wonder Woman" pilot off the ground, that it made sense for Kelley to test the waters of cable TV.
Working with TNT seems like the perfect fit for an idiosyncratic showrunner like Kelley. He has a proven ability to draw an audience,...

Devoted Glee fans know Harry Shum Jr. as the show’s go-to dancing machine, Mike Chang. When the show’s fourth season returns with new episodes on Jan. 24, Shum hopes we’ll also get to know more about his character’s post-McKinley life in Chicago. Or possibly Lima. “There’s still room to explore Mike and Tina and why they broke up,” Shum says. “They haven’t really talked about that. And also we haven’t really seen what Mike Chang has been doing. They’ve explored a lot of the other characters — like Puckerman going to L.A. They’ve explored the New York life, and Santana, [...]...

There are a lot of good-looking young men on "Glee." Ryan Murphy, the show's creator, knows this. That is probably why he tweeted out a couple of photos supposedly from a "Men of McKinley High" calendar. So which members of New Directions are Mr. July and Mr. December?
That would be Blake Jenner (Ryder) and Darren Criss (Blaine), respectively.
It is entirely possible that there will never be any additional photos added to the calendar, but there is plenty of eye candy to be found in the two photos we have seen.
Criss' Christmas-themed pose is especially impressive. The young man grasps a large candy cane while posing shirtless (and with his Santa pants pulled way down) in a festive scene. Talk about holiday cheer...
Jenner, on the other hand, is nothing more than an all-American stud of a man with his Uncle Sam hat and shorts. And nothing else.

Is Glee doing the right thing keeping Klaine apart??
From day one, Glee has been one of those love it or hate it kinds of shows. The Ryan Murphy-created series is in season 4 now and big changes have come as it divides its time between Lima, Ohio's McKinley High and the Big Apple, where grads Rachel (Lea Michele) and Kurt (Chris Colfer) are living life post-high school.
But has this split shift in focus made the show better or worse? Do we care whether Kurt and Blaine (Darren Criss) are together or apart? Are we missing the originals who have faded into the background... or just faded? Is the show going to live a long life, or should it close its songbook for good?
AfterElton asked those questions and more to some TV critics in this week’s Critics’ Roundtable. Helping out are Brian Gianelli (Senior TV Editor, Xfinity.

After a baseball-induced hiatus, "Glee" returned with an episode absolutely packed with new spotlights and major developments, as well as some returning favorites. And the show proved the strength of the McKinley High storylines by sticking with them throughout the entire episode. In other words, there were no side trips to check on Rachel and Kurt in New York.
With production on the school musical getting under way, Artie recruited three old favorites to help pull off their production of "Grease." Mercedes and Mike Chang came back to help, while Artie recruited Finn to be his co-director.

In the wake of Glee‘s brutal “Break Up” episode, it’s no surprise that the show’s return from a baseball-induced hiatus proved to be a lighter, low-stakes affair.
