Amidst fan-casting for every up-and-coming flick from a major studio, Henry Cavill seems to be in the driver’s seat all the time. Be it the next James Bond, Captain Britain, or Wolverine, Cavill seems to be topping everyone’s must-have cast list. While they’re mostly just rumors, it doesn’t stop his fans from picturing him star in their dream-come-true flick.
Given Cavill’s reputation as a hardcore gamer, it was only a matter of time before people pictured him in a Call of Duty movie. While he is already letting his inner geek shine with his Warhammer project, gamers and Cavill-swooners cannot stop picturing him as Captain Price of Modern Warfare fame ever since a report indicated Cavill is set to star in a long overdue, rumored Call of Duty movie.

Glen Powell has grown a large fan base since appearing in 2022's "Top Gun: Maverick," the critically acclaimed sequel to 1986 film "Top Gun." In the film, Powell plays the charismatic, confident Jake "Hangman" Seresin, who often clashes with Bradley "Rooster" Bradshaw (Miles Teller) and Pete "Maverick" Mitchell (Tom Cruise). Powell's characterization of Hangman has left many fans wondering if the actor has used that same charm to land any romantic relationships in real life.
Despite being certifiably handsome, Powell has only publicly dated three ladies since gaining the spotlight - though his most recent relationship with Gigi Paris reportedly came to an end in early April amid already-debunked rumors that he and his "Anyone But You" costar Sweeney's relationship had turned romantic (but more on that later).
If you find yourself feeling slightly obsessed with Powell's love life, then read ahead for everyone the star has dated over the years.

This post contains spoilers for Amazing Spider-Man #26.
In 1940, Mlj Publishers had a problem. Their standout artist Jack Cole (best known as the creator of Plastic Man) had left the company, abandoning the hit series Pep Comics and its star the Comet. Without Cole’s pencils, the Comet didn’t pop in the same way, and the company needed something drastic to save its sales. So in Pep Comics #17, a thug guns the Comet down, inspiring his brother to become a new hero called the Hangman.
The first superhero death in comic books set the trend for all that followed. Pep killed off the Comet not for any story reason, but because they wanted to goose sales. And not only does his death launch another hero, but he doesn’t stay dead for good — Mlj (now Archie Comics) brought back the Comet in the 1960s and the 1980s, eventually licensing him to DC Comics.

Honestly, it's kind of hard to believe that it's only been 25 years since the R-rated romantic comedy "There's Something About Mary" ranked among the top five-grossing films of 1998. If you're a millennial or older, that probably feels like an actual lifetime ago. Meanwhile, the vast majority of Gen-Zers weren't even alive to be scandalized by Ben Stiller's "hair gel" in the Farrelly brothers' massively popular raunchfest.
Recent movies like "Blockers," "Good Boys," and "Booksmart" have done a fine job of keeping that film's mix of sweetness and debauchery going. Thankfully, they've also moved away from the misogyny, homophobia, and dubious handling of consent that too often marred otherwise enjoyable older entries in the bawdy comedy tradition. However, compared to the heyday of R-rated rom-coms and comedies in general that came after "Mary" — when the likes of "The 40-Year-Old Virgin," "Wedding Crashers," and "Knocked Up" reigned triumphant at the box...

On Monday, Sydney Sweeney and Glen Powell attended CinemaCon 2023 in Las Vegas to promote their movie Anyone But You, an upcoming R-rated rom-com.
While onstage to introduce the film, Sweeney, 25, said that they just wrapped “hours ago” in Sydney, Australia.

Powell, 34, quipped, “We love seeing ourselves on the big screen,” to which Sweeney replied, “Oh please, Top Gun,” a nickname that comes from Powell’s role as “Hangman” in the 2022 hit film Top Gun: Maverick.
The two continued their banter with Sweeney telling the audience that she thought Powell was Top Gun star Miles Teller “until the fourth day of shooting.”
Talking about the film, Powell said, “Sydney plays a character [who is] a real nightmare,” while Sweeney joked that Powell’s character is an “a–hole.” In Anyone But You, the central couple hate each other. “And what better place to put a nightmare and an a...

Nicholas Hoult is poised to have a pretty successful spring. This weekend he has the title role in Universal’s gory R-rated comedy “Renfield” opposite Nicolas Cage as Dracula. Next month, he returns to Hulu’s comedy “The Great” for Season 3 fresh off his first-ever Emmy nomination for the show last year. He’s also starring in Robert Eggers’s next ensemble horror-thriller, “Nosferatu” opposite the likes of Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Bill Skarsgard, Emma Corrin, and Willem Dafoe. But in an interview with The Guardian published this week, Hoult was in a reflective mood about the roles that got away.
Asked about how he felt during the early days of the pandemic, which Hoult called the longest stretch of time he’s had without work, the actor said it was largely fine in terms of his mental health. “I think because I was just home being dad, which was nice,” the actor,...

“Holy God! Whattya showing me here?”
When Colin Farrell‘s Oz Cobblepot asked that question of Robert Pattinson’s Caped Crusader and Jeffery Combs’s Lieutenant Gordon in The Batman, he was reacting to a set of grisly pictures. The first set photos from The Batman spin-off The Penguin may not be nearly as disgusting, but they’re sure to provoke a strong reaction.
The HBO series, which takes place after Matt Reeves’ film, follows Cobblepot’s continuing evolution from the not-entirely respected underboss and Iceberg Lounge proprietor seen in The Batman to something closer to the criminal mastermind we know from the comics. Along the way, the series will further develop the Gotham underworld hinted at in The Batman, adding Clancy Brown as Salvatore Maroni and Cristin Milioti as Sofia Falcone.
The first images of Farrell shooting the series show him once again unrecognizable in makeup from Academy Award-nominated artist Mike Marino.

The crime lab squad almost got there this time.
The team closed in on the Silver Ink mastermind thanks to clues gleaned from the bizarre death scene of Dr. Auerbach on CSI: Vegas Season 2 Episode 15.
If only that were the end of it. But no such luck.
It was fascinating that Auerbach had contributed to the rise of the Silver Ink killers, but not in a way that anybody suspected.
While she wasn't directly responsible for the current murder spree, she certainly indirectly had a hand in creating the mastermind, despite her best efforts.
It was disappointing that, with all the characters somehow connected to this case, the mastermind came out of nowhere, introduced in the opening flashback foreshadowing Auerbach's eventual murder.
Employing such a deus ex machina to resolve a storyline feels like a copout, and that was certainly the case to some degree here.
Still, Max's team is making slow progress,...

Moxley hit Page in the ribs with a steel chair. Page slung the chair at Moxley’s head. Page suplexed Moxley onto the chair on the arena floor. Page caught Moxley flush in the forehead. Moxley, dazed, began to bleed from the forehead.

It’s Monday so you know what that means, it’s time for our weekly review of Aew: Rampage! This week’s show features Chris Jericho, Excalibur, Tony Schiavone and Jim Ross on commentary. Now let’s get to the review…
Match #1: “Hangman” Adam Page def. Wheeler Yuta
My Thoughts: This was a hard-hitting, well-fought match that at once showed that Adam Page is really ready for his rematch against Jon Moxley And that Wheeler Yuta has actually learnt from his time with the Blackpool Combat Club – Yuta kept his high-flying moves in play but backed them up with the more “strong style” work of Moxley and Danielson. Which actually meant that this was probably the best tune-up match Page could’ve had going into this week’s Dynamite!
My Score: 4 out of 5 Match #2: Jeff Jarrett, Satnam Singh & Jay Lethal def. Best Friends (Trent Barretta and Chuck Taylor...

Golden Globes host Jerrod Carmichael did a bombing run at Top Gun: Maverick star Tom Cruise during the 80th annual awards presentation Tuesday night.
Midway through the NBC event, Carmichael took to the stage holding three Golden Globes trophies.
“Backstage, I found these three Golden Globe awards that Tom Cruise returned,” he said. “Look, I’m just a host briefly or whatever, but I have a pitch. I think maybe we take these three things and exchange them for the safe return of Shelly Miscavige.”
There was an awkward pause.
“Anyway, from Top Gun: Maverick, please welcome Glen Powell and Jay Ellis!” Carmichael then said.
Some background: Cruise returned his previously won Globes after the Hollywood Foreign Press Association became embroiled in scandal in 2021 for, among other things, a severe lack of diversity in its member ranks. Then Cruise was snubbed for a nomination this year in the best actor...

While Top Gun: Maverick has been enjoying a warm reception from audiences and awards bodies alike, another film about daring pilots is flying around in theaters. Based on the 2015 nonfiction book Devotion: An Epic Story of Heroism, Friendship, and Sacrifice by Adam Makos, Devotion is about a powerful friendship between two Navy pilots during the Korean War. One of them is Jonathan Majors, the only Black member of the unit. In the film's other Top Gun: Maverick connection, the other one is played by Glen Powell, who portrays Hangman in the present-day film.
Devotion opens on Tom Hudner (Glen Powell) arriving to join Fighter Squadron 32, which already includes Jesse Brown (Majors), who faces routine racism from his fellow Navy officers and the neighbors who believe that his mere existence is stirring up trouble...

When Glen Powell decided he wanted to play real-life naval officer Tom Hudner nearly six years ago, someone else already held the screen rights to the story.
“That person had a couple drinks at a Hollywood party and told me they weren’t planning on making this movie,” Powell recalled to The Hollywood Reporter at the film’s premiere on Tuesday. “And I said, ‘Would you mind if I made it?’ And they were like, ‘Yeah, sure.’ So I went to [author Adam Makos], and I said, ‘Hey, if you let me have this, I promise I’ll tell it in the best way possible.'”
Based on Makos’ novel Devotion: An Epic Story of Heroism, Friendship, and Sacrifice, the film follows the true story of naval aviator duo Lt. Hudner (Powell) and Ensign Jesse Brown (Jonathan Majors) — the navy’s first Black carrier pilot — during the Korean War.

For one of The Challenge: USA plays, the latest episode was his second in a row in elimination. Unfortunately, it didn’t turn out the same way as it did previously. Survivor‘s Tasha Fox and The Amazing Race‘s James Wallington lost the daily challenge after she couldn’t balance the weight in The Challenge‘s version of Hangman. Big Brother‘s Kyland Young and Angela Rummans won, and Wallington had no problem campaigning to go against fellow Amazing Racer Leo Temory. However, instead, the losing pair faced off against Survivor‘s Domenick Abbate and Love Island‘s Cashay Proudfoot in elimination. Despite Abbate making a bad call, Fox and Wallington ended up losing and were eliminated. Here, Fox and Wallington open up about their exit. How’d you each prepare for The Challenge: USA? Wallington: My training was no different than it was for The Amazing Race. I started working out every day,...

Paramount’s supersonic blockbuster “Top Gun: Maverick” has grossed 623.8 million in North America, passing “The Avengers” (623.3 million) to become the ninth-highest grossing movie in domestic box office history. Industry experts believe the movie has enough gas in its tank to eventually pass the titles in seventh and eighth place, “Titanic” with 659 million and “Jurassic World” with 653 million.
For those counting, the top six slots belong to “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” (936.6 million), “Avengers: Endgame” (858.3 million), “Spider-Man: No Way Home” (804.7 million), “Avatar” (760 million), “Black Panther” (700 million) and “Avengers: Infinity War” (678 million). However, it’s unlikely that Maverick and crew will be able to mix and mingle in this company — at least in its initial box office run.
With another 620 million internationally, “Top Gun: Maverick” has generated a mammoth 1.24 billion at the global box office. On worldwide charts, the popular action sequel ranks among the top 20 biggest films of all time. The...
