Paramount’s movie slate for the upcoming year included the earlier announced film from Avatar: The Last Airbender animated universe. With the working title of Aang: The Last Airbender, the film’s voice cast will be led by Dave Bautista and Eric Nam. Nam is set to play the titular role of Aang, meaning that Zach Tyler Eisen will not be returning to his iconic voice role. While it came as no surprise, fans are largely disappointed over the recasting of Aang in the new animated movie.

Avatar: The Last Airbender creators refused to admit that they had created a perfect animated show on Nickelodeon. Michael Dante Dimartino and Bryan Konietzko shared that there were several scenes or moments in the original show that could’ve been improved. They particularly agreed with the criticism from fans that the episode The Great Divide from Book 1 was a “filler-y episode”.

Princess Azula, the daughter of Firelord Ozai, is undoubtedly one of the strongest female characters in the show, making her one of the cruelest antagonists in Avatar the Last Airbender. Known for being the only firebender capable of creating blue flames, she is intelligent, cruel, and always one step ahead of everyone, and nothing displays it better than the opening episode of Season 3.
While she succeeds in almost killing Aang, the firebender refuses to take the credit when meeting her father, and the motivations behind this decision further cement her as one of the best villains.

After more than half a decade of development, Netflix unveiled its highly anticipated live- action Avatar: The Last Airbender on Friday.
The show, adapted from Michael Dante Dimartino and Bryan Konietzko’s animated series that premiered in 2005, follows the beloved story of Aang, an Avatar who can bend all four elements — water, earth, fire and air — and is responsible for maintaining harmony in his universe’s four nations. Along the way, Aang befriends waterbender Katara and her brother Sokka as they work together to end the fire nation’s war against the other nations. Frequently, the group faces off against Zuko, a fire nation prince locked in an ongoing pursuit of Aang’s demise.
Though Netflix’s live-action approach to the story heads for darker themes than Nickelodeon’s animated original, the cast of kids at the show’s center maintains the story’s sense of childlike wonder that is so beloved by fans.

While Zuko, one of the most beloved characters from the fantasy series Avatar: The Last Airbender, has been voiced by actor Dante Basco in the animated series, the character has been portrayed by American actor Dallas Liu in the live-action adaptation. It debuted on Netflix not so long ago and has been the talk of the town since then.
Although Avatar: The Last Airbender has not necessarily been received well by fans and critics, the people involved with the making of the series have done their best to bring the beloved series to life. Dallas Liu revealed his biggest fear from fans while portraying the character of Zuko.

"Arcane" is one of the best animated shows of the past decade, a masterclass in adapting and reinterpreting a popular franchise for a different medium. Studio Fortiche delivered one of the most stunning pieces of animation in years with this show, which draws from the world of the hugely popular video game franchise "League of Legends."
The story follows a group of characters across the socioeconomic spectrum in the dual city of Piltover and Zaun. They are caught in the middle of a revolution when the discovery of a century is made — arcane technology, which is essentially magic. There are compelling characters and stories, exquisite worldbuilding, and gorgeous fight scenes to boot.
"Arcane" also boasts a fantastic voice cast that includes Hailee Steinfeld, Ella Purnell, Katie Leung, and many more actors who are set to return for season 2.

The latest episode of “Blindspotting” gave millennial fans something they never thought they’d get to see: Dante Basco essentially reprising the role of Rufio, leader of the Lost Boys in Steven Spielberg’s “Hook” — even if it was at a Halloween party.
The installment, titled “By Hook or by Crook,” followed as Jacque (April Absynth) invited her new beau Cuddie (Lance Holloway) to her family’s home in Daly City for a Halloween party. After being incorrectly advised by Trish (Jaylen Barron) into wearing a pirate costume to the event, Jacque freaks out upon arrival and reveals to Cuddie that her father is Dante Basco.
Given the actor’s history with pirates, Cuddie’s costume is understandably barred from the event. Though they try to hide it for a while, Basco eventually discovers the truth; leading to a “Hook”-esque sword fight between the men in Jacque’s life.
