Sugababes have delighted fans by releasing an album they recorded almost eight years ago.
The pop trio consisting of Mutya Buena, Keisha Buchanan and Siobhan Donaghy, lost the right to record and perform as the Sugababes after a number of lineup changes in the group.
The original lineup performed between 1998 to 2001, during which time they achieved six Number 1 singles. They briefly reformed as Mks in 2013 before regaining the right to perform as the Sugababes in 2019, when they released a cover of UK garage classic “Flowers” by Sweet Female Attitude.
A successful comeback year has involved a UK headline tour and a set at Glastonbury Festival to huge crowds. They have now released a full studio album, The Lost Tapes.

Alexander O'Neal has revealed his reasoning for quitting Celebrity Big Brother following his dramatic departure over the weekend.
The singer became embroiled in two unpleasant confrontations with showbiz blogger Perez Hilton, which resulted in a formal warning from Big Brother over O'Neal's use of an offensive term.
Speaking to CBB host Emma Willis on Celebrity Big Brother's Bit On The Side, Alexander revealed why he walked, saying: "I did it for myself and for my housemates."
He added that "the stress became unbearable" prior to his exit, and was subsequently forced to accept that the 'Perez problem' was not going to go away.
But Alexander is not the only disgruntled celebrity housemate to voluntarily leave, and we doubt he'll be the last.
Some, like Claire King, withdrew from the show due to illness, while others have been removed by producers.

Chesney Hawkes may not feature in the Dancing on Ice launch show this weekend after suffering an injury scare. The one-hit wonder 'One and Only' popstar missed the ITV1 reality show's press launch this morning (January 3) after damaging his ankle. He is reportedly in danger of having to withdraw from the competition. Hawkes, 40, was planning on skating with pro skater Jodeyne Higgins. The 15 contestants taking part in this year's show were revealed earlier this week and feature Sugababes singer Heidi Range, Dallas actress Charlene Tilton and Hollywood child star Corey Feldman. Dancing on Ice professional Sylvain Longchambon has been forced to abandon new partner Heidi Range after suffering an injury weeks before the show's return. The French skater damaged muscles in his right arm while training with the Sugababes star, resulting in her now having to dance with a temporary partner for the beginning stages of the ITV contest. "This is gutting news for everyone concerned," a source told The Sun. "Heidi and Sylvain were to be the glamour couple of the new series. He hurt the muscles in his right arm while practising on the ice with Heidi. It is quite serious. "Sylvain will be fine but it's not yet known how long he will be out. Producers are confident he will be able to recover in time to (more)...

The Sugababes have insisted that they are not splitting up. The group, who released their last single 'Freedom' as a free download, said they are keen to 'take their time' with their next album. Heidi Range told the Daily Star: "The Sugababes are definitely not splitting. We're just taking our time." The news comes after rumours that the original Sugababes lineup - consisting of Keisha Buchanan, Siobhan Donaghy and Mutya Buena - will reform next year. The original lineup of the Sugababes are set to reform, a report has suggested. The founding members of the girl group - Keisha Buchanan, Mutya Buena and Siobhan Donaghy - are said to be working on new material before they make the reunion official. According to Wot You Got the original trio "haven't signed anything official yet, but they have been demoing some new songs to see if they can re-capture that magic of their debut album". The site added: "If they get that right, then they'll sign on the dotted lines." Buchanan played her first solo gig earlier this year, showcasing (more)...

The Sugababes have insisted it's "business as usual" following news that former member Mutya Buena has won limited rights to their name. It was reported yesterday that Buena, who left the band in 2005, won the rights to the group's name for a limited number of products, including stationery and gift wrap. A spokesperson for the band said: "Heidi, Amelle and Jade would like to reassure their fans that it's business as usual for Sugababes. "Over 4 months ago it was officially confirmed by the European Trade Marks Department that Sugababes were successful in claiming their ongoing right to use the name "Sugababes" (more)...

Mutya Buena has won rights to the Sugababes name. The singer, who left the band in 2005 to pursue a solo career, is now listed on the official EU Trademark website as an owner of the Sugababes title. Buena wrote on her Facebook page: "I won the official name of the Sugababes now!!! I deserve this! I'm over the moon!" She later added: "in tears feels like a dream (sic)." However, it appears Buena has only won the rights to the name for a limited number of products, securing the rights to goods listed under Class 16 alone. According to the EU Trademark website, Buena now owns Sugababes rights to "paper, cardboard and goods made from these materials, not included in other classes; namely stationery, paper gift (more)...

We’ve been waiting all day and at 9.55pm this evening, this year’s first full length Big Brother promo aired on Channel 5.
It was like a who’s who of famous Bb faces from years gone by and we had quite a lot of fun spotting and naming some of our favourite (and also most annoying) housemates.
We have compiled most of them in a list below, though we know there are some names missing, so feel free to leave a comment below if you can identify any more.
The video starts out with Makosi on the phone and leads into various cast members dancing and miming to an adaptation of David Guetta’s popular dance track – When Love Takes Over renamed When Bruv Takes Over and at the end, as all the Bb stars gathered in what looked like a massive field, Marcus Bentley exclaimed:
‘It’s back...

Keisha Buchanan reportedly made peace with the current Sugababes lineup at Wireless Festival on Friday. It was the first time the girls had come face-to-face since Buchanan was ousted from the group in 2009, the Daily Star Sunday reports. Her departure - along with the previous exits of Mutya Buena and Siobhan Donaghy - meant that no original members of the group remained. The current lineup is Heidi Range, Amelle Berrabah and Jade Ewen. Speaking of the reunion, Berrabah said: "It was a surreal moment. It is the first time we've seen each other since she left the band. It's so good to get closure on everything that's (more)...

Keisha left the group to in 2009 amidst rumours of fall-outs with other members Heidi Range and Amelle Berrabah, but today they put their differences behind them, speaking for the first time in almost two years at the Barclaycard Wireless festival in London.
Amelle exclusively told Bang Showbiz: “I was really nervous when we saw her, but we had a little chat and I feel like we can now put everything behind us, my heart now feels complete.”
The teary reunion saw Keisha – the last remaining original member of the group to leave - make the first move, approaching her former band mates in the backstage Barclays Unwind area of the festival.

Mutya Buena has insisted that she was not fazed by losing her claim to the Sugababes name. The singer, who co-founded the band with Keisha Buchanan and Siobhan Donaghy, admits that she can't be "bothered" to argue with the band, and is focusing her efforts instead on becoming a child psychologist. "I took up a course in child psychology because it was an interest of mine," she told the Daily Star. "I can’t be bothered to argue about the Sugababes, it’s so silly. I’m in two minds about music in general. I love doing it but I’m not (more)...

Former Sugababes star Mutya Buena is turning her back on music to become a child psychologist - because she's fed up with fame. The British singer quit the group in 2005 and applied for legal ownership of the band's name when the last original member, Keisha Buchanan, left the line-up last year.
But now Buena has given up her Sugababes battle - and she's decided to concentrate on helping children instead. She tells Britain's Daily Star, "I took up a course in child psychology because it was an interest of mine. I can't be bothered to argue about the Sugababes, it's so silly. I'm in two minds about music in general. I love doing it but I'm not sure if I want to carry on."
