His many awards included the "German Schlager Festival Honorary Certificate" in 1965 and the "Awards Record World" USA in 1975.
In 1967 he became a freelance music producer.
For many years, the successful composer and arranger Berry Lipman provided particularly exquisite party sounds with a Latin touch and disco flair.
He was stationed with the Air Force Music Corps in Celle and Oldenburg from 1940 onwards during the Second World War.
In 1947 he went to the Wuppertal theater as a composer and came into contact with Rhythm & Blues as an arranger, composer and instrumentalist at the NWDR and SWF Koblenz.
