- Ursula Wendel is a writer for both TV and film with a background in TV development and production. In 2020, Ursula was invited to participate in Brian Grazer & Ron Howard's Imagine Impact Creative Network Platform, highlighting a select group of writers and their projects. Her scripts have placed Semifinalist at the Austin Film Festival, finalist in the Women in Film/The Black List TV Episodic Lab and have twice won the WGAw TV Writer Access Project.
Ursula earned her Master's Degree at the Sorbonne university in Paris, with a thesis in WWI military history. After several years living in France, Ursula relocated to the United States and began working in film and television production and also worked as a development executive at Matt Groening Productions, Inc. where she was involved in the production of animated TV movies Futurama, Bender's Big Score and Into the Wild Green Yonder. A stint as a writer's assistant led to her first produced script on a David E. Kelley drama, then as a staff writer on network dramas. With an emphasis on period dramas, Ursula subverts the genre, skilled at capturing the male voice while offering a unique female perspective. Currently, she is attached as writer and executive producer, along with former CEO of Sonar and UIP, producer Stewart Till (Taboo, Four Weddings and a Funeral) and director Stephen Hopkins (The Dark Tower, 24, Race), on an elevated TV drama series.- IMDb Mini Biography By: UW
