New Suicide Squad #1
Written by Sean Ryan
Art by Jeremy Roberts
Colors by Blond
Published by DC Comics
The lineup up for the New Suicide Squad assembled by Mr. (Vic?) Sage is quite the Murderer’s Row. There’s Task Force X veterans Deadshot, Harley Quinn, and Black Manta back for another go as well as newcomer (and another Joker groupie) Joker’s Daughter and new team leader Deathstroke, whose costume is colored in a particularly striking way by Blond. The first few pages of New Suicide Squad #1 show this team in action in big wide screen panels with shattered glass, bullets, and explosions. Unfortunately, this ends up being the whole comic with Sage and Amanda Waller providing color commentary over the mayhem. Artist Jeremy Roberts shows some flashes of nice artwork, like Deathstroke and Deadshot squaring off before the big mission and any scene with Joker Daughter’s ruthlessly...

One of his most powerful weapons in the hands of one of his most powerful enemies, Spider-Man will have to prove once again why he’s the greatest superhero in the world! “We’re jumping into a story already in progress for this issue,’” explains writer Sean Ryan in an interview with Marvel.com. “We’re treating this issue as if it was the last issue in a long arc that has been running in the Spider-Man books for a while. This issue sees the story coming to an end. The idea of the story being that the symbiote is back, but it’s been infused with technology that gives its host the power to plug in to the grid and control anything connected to it. Writer Shawn Ryan (The Shield) has released images (via Twitter) of Eddie Murphy and Brandon T. Jackson (Tropic Thunder) as father and son on the set of the Beverly Hills Cop pilot. If ratings are high enough, CBS is expected to pick up the series and deliver it this fall. Barry Sonnenfeld (Men In Black) is directing the pilot.
The original Beverly Hills Cop (1984) was about a Detroit officer (Murphy) who goes “on vacation” to Beverly Hills in order to solve the murder of his childhood friend, whose case was refused to him because of their close ties.
Eddie Murphy will return to his iconic role as Detective Axel Foley, at least for the pilot. He is only expected to guest star after the pilot episode.
Brandon T. Jackson will play (and star) his son, a young up and coming police officer trying to get out of his father’s shadow.

We hold in our hands the covers for DC Comics this February. As a child of four can plainly see, these comics have been hermetically sealed in a Cgc 9.9 slab, and they’ve been kept in a #2 mayonnaise jar under a giant stack of returned copies of Holy Terror since noon today.
What do we have worth noting? The new look of Darkseid, and we’re far enough into the new 52 books that it’s time for Batman to start crossing over in all of them. Plus Mara Jade, the red-haired assassin who fell in love with her blond-haired man she was sent to kill– oh, I’m sorry, that’s from Star Wars. This is Mera in a jade outfit. Our mistake.
Shall we? Surely!
As usual, spoilers may lurk beyond this point.

"…and I would have gotten away with it, too, if it wasn’t for you meddling kids!. Just how many episodes of "Scooby Doo" ended with that line? And did anyone ever wonder why the criminals were able to bamboozle the entire town and police squad with their schemes only to be foiled by a dog and four stoner kids who rolled into town two days earlier in a van that had to smell like malted hops, bong resin and dog farts? We’ve got some info on a new movie where the meddling kids don't necessarily fare so well.
Directed by Spencer Parsons and starring Ashley Spillers, Josephine Decker and Jonny Mars, Saturday Morning Massacrefollows some meddling paranormal investigators trying to make a buck. From the information we've managed to glean thus far, there is no talking dog in this film.
The film is currently in post-production and the official website titsandaxe.

In the film, a team of amateur paranormal investigators struggle to make ends meet by debunking reports of supernatural incidents. Hello all you crazy-awesome ComicMix fans. For those who don’t know me (and when you share a space with guys like Mike Gold, John Ostrander, Martha Thomases, Michael Davis, Denny O’Neil, and Mindy Newell? I don’t blame you!) allow me to introduce myself by way of witty, snarky banter. I figured if I am to come out of the gate anew with a comic focused op-ed piece, I might as well start by swinging for the fences. So, let me point to the rafters over center field, and take the biggest swing I can.
Simply put: DC’s Flashpoint is a ten-pound turd in a five gallon bowl.
I use this nasty language, mind you, because I “covered” the event for a podcast I do from time to time… and have spent my hard earned dollars on this bloated excuse to sell toys, and piss off fans.

After Joe McElderry made his big announcement on Saturday, people have been desperate to find out the identity of the boy that he admits to kissing.
Today, Sean Ryan has admitted that it was him but agrees with Joe’s claims that they shared only kisses and nothing more.
Sean met Joe backstage at his first audition for the X Factor judges. The trainee hairdresser and model, won tickets for the tryouts in July 2009. He said he was attracted to the 19 year old singer immediately telling The Sun:
“He was my kind of guy, handsome with dark eyes. I really fancied him from the moment he came on stage.”
“We hit it off straight away, there was a definite spark between us.”
The pair began texting and calling after that first encounter and a week later met up for a meal. Sean tried to kiss Joe at the end of the evening,...
