Gayle King was utterly shocked when she received a surprise during CBS Mornings.
King learned that she officially landed on the cover of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition.
It was unexpected for King, who received the big news from model Kate Upton during the morning program.
“It’s right here,” Upton said, handing King a copy of the magazine featuring her cover.
Upon seeing it, she raised both arms, screamed excitedly, clapped, and bounced up and down in her seat.
“I’m on the cover?” she asked amid more screaming, sharing that she thought she would only be featured “on the inside” of the magazine.
King didn’t believe her Si Swimsuit Issue cover
During the exciting televised moments, King’s co-host told her, “You are officially Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover girl.”
“Is that a dummy cover?” the 69-year-old CBS Mornings host asked to check if they were pranking her on TV.

If Sergio Leone had ever signed on to make one of those ‘70s Blaxploitation oaters that once provided steady employment for Fred Williamson, it likely would have looked and sounded much like “Outlaw Posse,” a wildly uneven but cumulatively entertaining shoot-‘em-up that finds Mario Van Peebles doing triple duty as director, screenwriter and star. Quadruple duty, actually, if you count his credit as an executive producer.
“Outlaw Posse” has nothing to do with Van Peebles’ previous entry in this genre, 1993’s wild and woolly “Posse,” which suggests the multitasking filmmaker is tipping his Stetson to the multitude of ‘60s Spaghetti Westerns that, ahem, borrowed titles and eponymous characters from better known yet totally unrelated horse operas. But, then again, maybe not. Indeed, the film will probably be enjoyed most by folks not given to undue consideration of such trifling matters as lineage, logic and arrant anachronisms.

Welcome to this week’s review of Impact Wrestling, which this week is a special Hidden Gems edition of the show featuring a lineup of matches never before seen on television! Let’s get into the review and see what went down…
Match #1: Samuray Del Sol def. Alan Angels The following is courtesy of impactwrestling.com:
It was an X-Division showcase as Alan Angels went one-on-one with Samuray Del Sol in Chicago, which was the site of this year’s historic Bound For Glory event. Despite Angels’ efforts to rip off the mask of Del Sol, he was unable to vanquish the Luchador. Del Sol would connect with Salida del Sol off the top rope to score his first singles victory in Impact Wrestling.
My Score: 3 out of 5 Match #2: Mk Ultra def. Gisele Shaw & Savannah Evans The following is courtesy of impactwrestling.com:

Josephine Decker's 2020 film "Shirley" -- based on the novel by Susan Scarf Merrell -- is a biography of the legendary, and legendarily sour, horror author Shirley Jackson ... sort of.
Elisabeth Moss gives a truly great performance as Jackson, depicting her as a woman out of time, unwilling to play by the stuffy, sexist rules of "polite society." When a hen-like housewife peer of Jackson's whines that she might stain her couch with red wine, it's Jackson's instinct to upend her entire glass onto the upholstery. Jackson is depicted as cantankerous, lethargic, alcoholic, and mean.
"Shirley" centers on the relationship Jackson had with a wide-eyed college student named Rose Namser (Odessa Young), a young woman who is optimistic, happy in her new marriage, and eager to raise her unborn child. Jackson is childless and, as the film progresses, will reveal her resentment of that fact. Jackson is happy-ish in her marriage,...

The episode of The Test of Time covering Pumpkinhead was Written by Andrew Hatfield, Narrated by Niki Minter, Edited by Mike Conway, Produced by John Fallon and Tyler Nichols, and Executive Produced by Berge Garabedian.
The horror landscape is filled to the brim with icons and mascots that were successful and failures. The big ones like Freddy, Jason, and Michale speak for themselves, hence only needing their first names mentioned here. You could even go another round with Pinhead, the Leprechaun or Leatherface for that matter. Looking down the aisle at the literal murderer’s row of horror movie villains, you can’t shake a stick without hitting some one-off baddies that were clearly meant for multi-movie stardom but due to box office or critical hate were relegated to one movie. Warner Bros. Discovery international president Gerhard Zeiler has unveiled an expanded global remit for David Decker, the conglomerate’s president of content sales as the company continues to streamline and fine-tune its organization.
“David will, besides his domestic remit, oversee global opportunities for content licensing to major platform clients, like Netflix, Amazon, Roku and Paramount who operate worldwide,” he wrote in a staff memo on Friday.
Phil Goodhew, senior vp, commercial strategy, international TV distribution, and Allan Stenhouse, senior vp, international TV marketing, will now both report to Decker, Zeiler wrote, explaining: “Phil and Allan will work closely with the international leadership and local licensing teams, from a commercial strategy and marketing perspective, and will ensure a smooth operating rhythm and information flow across all the sales teams.”
The new structure for the content licensing team follows the July announcement that Robert Blair, president of Wbd International TV Distribution, would be leaving the company.

Ascendant creator Eric Decker is making moves that will allow him to continue expanding his digital presence. The man known to his 14.3 million YouTube followers as Airrack has signed with talent agency UTA for representation in all areas.
Three years after his 2020 breakout, Decker continues to reach new heights on YouTube. UTA told The Hollywood Reporter that Decker has averaged about 500,000 new subscribers per month over the past year. Those fresh followers have witnessed some of Deckers most innovative and high-value productions to date, including a prank video in which he appeared to walk on water. That clip has picked up more than 27 million views on YouTube.
In true Airrack fashion, Decker plans to continue pushing the envelope. In addition to his UTA deal, he is bringing on Josh Mattingly as the Chief Operating Officer of his production company. Mattingly is a longtime online video veteran who has held high-level roles for channels like Smosh,...

YouTube sensation Eric “Airrack” Decker has signed with UTA for representation in all areas.
With a combined online audience of over 16 million subscribers — and just over 14 million followers on YouTube alone — Airrack has named digital media veteran Josh Mattingly as chief operating officer of his production banner.
Mattingly will oversee business operations and ramp up content production as UTA helps expand Airrack’s business ties across several verticals, including digital partnerships, TV, live events and publishing. Previously, Mattingly completed executive stints at Tbnr (PrestonPlayz), Smosh, React and Donut Media.
Decker’s signing with UTA comes as Hollywood talent agencies that previously mostly chased A-list actors and pro sport athletes increasingly spot and sign up new social media content creators and influencers from Instagram, YouTube and more recently digital platforms like TikTok to bolster their careers and business streams.

In one of Germany’s most closely-watched media cases, a Berlin court on Wednesday ruled in favor of German screenwriter Anika Decker in her residuals suit against Warner Bros. and Barefoot Films, the production company of German star Til Schweiger (Inglourious Basterds).
Decker co-wrote the screenplays to Schweiger’s 2007 comedy hit Rabbit Without Ears and its successful 2009 sequel Rabbit Without Ears 2, both of which were distributed in Germany by Warner Bros. The first Rabbit Without Ears film, which Schweiger directed and co-starred in alongside Nora Tschirner, earned around $74 million at the German box office, blockbuster numbers for the territory. Rabbit Without Ears 2 was also a major success, grossing around $40 million at the German box office.
Decker claimed, given the outsized success of the films, she was not adequately compensated for her work. She sued under the so-called “fairness clause” of the German copyright act, which was first added...

“Con permiso, Capitan,” the godlike being Q tells Captain Picard. “The hall is rented, the orchestra engaged. It’s now time to see if you can dance.”
Part warning and part explanation, Q’s statement tests Picard’s insistence that the Enterprise does not need his help, that humanity is fully prepared for whatever difficulties they encounter while exploring deep space. Yes, they can deal with Romulans, Klingons, and even that fishhead alien that Mick Fleetwood played in “Manhunt.” But were they prepared for the new enemy that Q sent them to meet? Were they prepared for the Borg?
The excellent season two episode “Q Who?” effectively introduces the Borg as the defining villain of Star Trek: The Next Generation, whose influence continues in later series, especially Voyager and Picard. The conquering hivemind represents everything that Starfleet is not, a demand for sameness and no respect for other cultures or variety.

Clive Barker’s Nightbreed begins with the sort of gory bloodletting that one expects from the writer-director. The film, based on Barker’s 1988 novella Cabal, introduces us to a masked slasher who’s soon revealed to be Phillip Decker (David Cronenberg), a therapist who’s been slowly drugging and manipulating a patient, Aaron Boone (Craig Sheffer), into believing that he’s responsible for the doctor’s recent crimes. But just as soon as we’re primed for a perverse spin on the psychological horror genre, Nightbreed wildly pivots in a totally different direction.
Decker arranges a scenario that will result in Boone being shot at by police before anyone asks questions, but as Sheffer’s patsy is drawn into a cemetery, he’s confronted by humanoid monsters. Though Decker’s plan works and Boone is torn apart by bullets, the man rises from the dead due to his exposure to the monsters,...

The Brown family of Sister Wives fame likes to move a lot. Before Kody Brown and his four wives were given a reality TV show, the family shuttled between several states before settling in Utah. Once TLC cameras were on the scene, the family insisted they were being investigated and quickly packed up their belongings and fled to open-minded Las Vegas, Nevada. There they flourished before they packed up again and moved to Flagstaff. The Flagstaff move signaled the beginning of the end for the family. No one is debating that. There has been a lot of debate around whether the drama of that initial move was real, though. Some fans and extended family members insist the urgency was manufactured for ratings. Gwendlyn Brown insists, however, it was all real.

As you know, she is five months pregnant, high-risk, and also traveling alone with her two small children,” Decker explained on Instagram. “Blaire accidentally spilled some popcorn in the aisle, and the flight attendant came up to Sydney with a trash bag and a wet wipe, telling her the captain wants Syd to clean up every drop.

Showtime dropped the first episode in its newest series, “Waco: The Aftermath,” where we learn about the events that followed the Siege of Waco in February 1993. After a 51-day siege outside the Mt. Carmel compound, where the self-proclaimed Messiah David Koresh (Taylor Kitsch) and almost 80 of his followers (women and children included) were housed, the Atf and FBI sent a tank to destroy the house and deployed tear gas. The house went up in flames, killing almost everyone inside, Koresh included. Of the people who survived, Showtime’s newest series presents a look into what became of these defendants, whether they were doomed from the start or were given a fighting chance. Here’s what happens in the first episode.

On May 3, a long-awaited parole hearing will take place in Tallahassee, Florida, to determine if Leo Schofield will finally be released from prison after being wrongfully convicted of murder more than three decades ago.
In 1987, Leo, then 21 years old, was devastated when his teenage wife Michelle was found dead in a phosphate mining pit in Lakeland, Florida. Two years later, Leo was convicted and sentenced to life in prison, where he has remained despite overwhelming evidence of his innocence unearthed and revealed on the Lava for Good podcast Bone Valley by Pulitzer Prize-winning investigative reporter Gilbert King and producer Kelsey Decker — evidence pointing to Michelle’s actual killer.
Fifteen years after Leo’s conviction, previously unidentified fingerprints from Michelle’s car matched Jeremy Scott — a troubled teen with an extensive history of violence who lived near the young couple at the time. Scott has since confessed to Michelle’s murder a number of times,...

On Dec. 7, 1979, Paramount’s Star Trek — The Motion Picture hit theaters and launched the franchise on the big screen. The film, which reunited the cast of the NBC series, went on to earn three Oscar nominations (for art direction, original score and visual effects) at the 52nd Academy Awards. The Hollywood Reporter’s original review is below:
No mistake about it, Star Trek is a big movie — big in scope, big in spectacle and, most important, big in entertainment values. Trekkies will be pleased to know that almost all of their favorite characters are back in their original roles (with the welcome addition of voluptuous Persis Khambatta as the Navigator); while the Enterprise itself, which had apparently been in drydock these many years, has now been rebuilt and enlarged to an unimaginable vastness — unimaginable except, of course, by producer Gene Roddenberry and the special effects teams assembled by Douglas Trumbull...
