Kammy Wong(II)
- Actress
Kammy Ka Sui Wong is a multilingual actor and voiceover artist. Born in Hong Kong, SAR, and raised amidst the adventurous landscapes of Vermont, Kammy's early years were filled with devouring books at the local bookstore, watching movies at the state's biggest theater on her own, and explorations through the Vermont woods where she would act out the stories she imbibed. Her journey into acting began unexpectedly when she auditioned for the lead role of 'Eve Simone' in "Murder at the Pie Auction." This experience began her deep appreciation for the art of scene work and the camaraderie of performers, leading her to take a gap year from college to move to Los Angeles, where she explored the craft and life of an actor. She was accepted to The New School and NYU Tisch School of Drama for acting shortly after.
Kammy portrayed Chang'e, the Goddess of the Moon, in "ASCEND" (Encore! Producer's Award) at the 2019 Hollywood Fringe Festival. She continued to build her theatrical credentials with Ma-Yi Theatre Company, performing as 'Frankie' in Lloyd Suh's "The Truth," "The Laramie Project" with Ripple Effect Artists, 'Lucy' in "How I Saved Hanukkah" with ITA Productions, and more.
In film, Kammy has delivered standout performances, such as 'Jenny' in "Torn," an Asian-American narrative by Carmen Chan, which earned her the "Best Performance Award" at Philadelphia's ArtsQuest Film Festival. Her role as 'Leslie,' the last survivor in the post-horror drama "The Epilogue Chapters," directed by Adrian McGraw, further showcased her ability to bring complex characters to life.
Kammy's acting career is underpinned by extensive training from renowned institutions in New York and Los Angeles, including Berg Studios, T. Schreiber Studios, and The Groundlings. Her commitment to the craft is evident in her continuous pursuit of knowledge and skill development. She actively sings and performs with the National Asian Arts Project Broadway Community Chorus in Times Square.
