Apple TV+ today released the trailer for season two of ‘Harriet the Spy’, based on the iconic children’s novel chronicling the coming-of-age adventures of the irrepressible Harriet M Welsch, premiering on May 5, 2023. Produced by The Jim Henson Company, the animated series stars Golden Globe nominee Beanie Feldstein as Harriet, a fiercely independent and adventurous 11-year-old girl, alongside Emmy Award winner Jane Lynch as Ole Golly, Harriet’s larger-than-life, no-nonsense nanny.

Apple TV+ has ordered an animated adaptation of the beloved children’s novel “Harriet the Spy” starring Beanie Feldstein, Jane Lynch and Lacey Chabert, the streaming service announced Wednesday.
The show will be set in New York in the 1960s, when the original Louise Fitzhugh book was published and took place, and follow “the coming-of-age adventures of the irrepressible Harriet M. Welsch,” per Apple.

The movie, based on the classic kids book series by Louise Fitzhugh, will bow worldwide on Disney Channels, a co-producer with 9 Story Entertainment.

And rival Canadian indie producer Shaftesbury Films has sold the kids series "Connor Undercover" to ABC TV Australia and Daro for Eastern Europe and English-speaking Africa.
"Connor Undercover" is a half-hour, action-comedy series about a teenage spy buff, and is co-produced by Shaftesbury Films and Heroic Film Company.
The movie, based on the classic kids book series by Louise Fitzhugh, will bow worldwide on Disney Channels, a co-producer with 9 Story Entertainment.
Nancy Steingard and Wendy Moss-Klein will executive produce.

Children's entertainment veterans Wendy Moss-Klein and Nancy Steingard have launched 2 Friends Entertainment, a multimedia company that will produce kids programming. 2 Friends plans to produce content for television, home video, film and the Internet for children from infancy to 12 years old. The company already has acquired rights to existing kids properties, such as the Harriet the Spy books, as well as original properties. Moss-Klein and Steingard said they will not limit each property to just one medium.
