What Do We Know About Dune Prophecy? More than you may think. With the second part of Denis Villeneuve’s adaptation of Frank Herbert’s classic science fiction novel a critical and box office success, it is going to be several years before we see the next feature film in the series, Dune Messiah. Luckily, production on the small-screen prequel /spin-off was concurrent with Dune: Part Two which means before the end of the year we are going to return to the fictional realms of Arrakis, Geidi Prime, and more via Max.
While not much in the way of footage has made its way online, there have been quite a few reveals about Dune Prophecy, so let’s jump in and discuss.

Exclusive: Max’s Dune prequel series Dune: The Sisterhood is set to relaunch production in Budapest “any day now” and will continue throughout the course of the WGA and SAG strikes, a source close to the show tells Deadline.
The series thus takes the path of House of the Dragon and Industry, given that, like those HBO titles, which we reported on earlier in the day, The Sisterhood is an Equity contract production with some from SAG-AFTRA also in the mix. And per guidance from the actors guild stateside, members working under Equity contracts are to “continue to report.”
The Sisterhood resumes production following a November launch, leading into a hiatus that always was planned, our source tells us, to get around winter conditions in Hungary. The show also notably lost director Johan Renck, creator and pilot writer Diane Ademu-John (as co-showrunner) and stars Shirley Henderson and Indira Varma earlier this year,...

Olivia Williams and Jodhi May have been cast in Max’s “Dune: The Sisterhood” (working title) following the exits of previously announced cast members Shirley Henderson and Indira Varma. Henderson departed the series amid “creative changes” made in February, while Varma’s departure was due to scheduling conflicts.

In November, series creator Diane Ademu-John stepped down as co-showrunner, but she remains involved as executive producer.

HBO Max’s “Dune” prequel spinoff “The Sisterhood” is going through some changes. Both director Johan Renck and star Shirley Henderson have exited the HBO Max series, Variety has confirmed.
The news comes as the production takes a “pre-scheduled hiatus,” according to the streamer.
“There are some creative changes being made to the production in an effort to create the best series possible and stay true to the source material,” a HBO Max representative said in a statement. “Johan Renck has completed his work on the series and a new director will be brought on; through mutual agreement Johan is moving on to pursue other projects. Additionally, Shirley Henderson will be exiting the series and will no longer be playing Tula Harkonnen.”
These aren’t the first departures to hit the production. In November of last year, series creator Diane Ademu-John parted ways with “The Sisterhood” as co-showrunner. However, she...

Much like how the original "Dune" novel was seemingly cursed to never make it to the screen, its prequel series may be developing the same notoriety. That's because "Dune: The Sisterhood," the prequel series to Denis Villeneuve's 2021 epic, has lost a significant number of creative talent as it undergoes an alleged overhaul. Deadline exclusively reported that star Shirley Henderson, who was slated to play Tula Harkonnen, has left the project alongside creator and co-showrunner Diane Ademu-John and director Johan Renck.
As of right now, there isn't one precise reason that can be traced to these exits. However, it does appear as if these exits were done separately on each party's accord. In a statement sent to Deadline, HBO Max implied that at least Renck's departure was on amicable terms, conflicting with the trade's sources that imply creative differences forced the director out. This could be the same reasoning behind the departure of Ademu-John,...

HBO Max’s return to Arrakis is taking a bit of a setback. The “Dune” prequel series has lost both its director and one of its stars, IndieWire has confirmed. This news does not in any way affect the release of Denis Villeneuve’s “Dune: Part Two” this fall.
Johan Renck, who was set to direct the first two episodes of the show, and Shirley Henderson, who was set to play one of the leads, have both exited the series following the beginning of production in November. Production on the series, currently under the working title “Dune: The Sisterhood,” has reportedly been put on hold until replacements for both are found. A statement from HBO Max attributed the change to an “effort to create the best series possible.”

HBO series ‘Westworld’ has been cancelled after four seasons, the network announced on Friday. The news comes barely within three months after the series aired its Season 4 finale.
Variety is told that a multitude of factors went into the decision to end the sci-drama, including the production’s hefty price tag, combined with dwindling viewership and an ongoing evaluation of programming across the board at HBO’s new parent, Warner Bros Discovery, reports Variety.
The David Zaslav-run company has been paring back spending as part of a plan to institute 3.5 billion in cost-saving synergies, which the business has promised to find over the next three years post-April merger.
However, even on the heels of a rough third-quarter earnings report, Zaslav has continued to underline the importance of healthy content spend, and HBO has several high-profile, big-budget dramas that make it clear the premium cabler isn’t cutting back overall,...

Exclusive: The door to Westworld was slammed shut today as HBO confirmed that the dystopian sci-fi series will not get a fifth season. It was bad news for anyone associated with the show, led by creators Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy, who had been hoping and advocating for another chapter, but for the main cast, there was some silver lining. I hear they will be paid for Season 5 regardless of the fact that it will not be produced.

The upcoming "Dune" prequel series from Legendary Television for HBO Max just added a ridiculously impressive name to their cast, with "Game of Thrones," "Obi-Wan Kenobi," and "Luther" actor Indira Varma joining "Dune: The Sisterhood." Varma has been cast to play Empress Natalya, a character described by the network as "a formidable royal who united thousands of worlds in her marriage to Emperor Corrino." The prequel is part of a number of "Dune"-related projects following the success of Denis Villeneuve's film adaptation, with a sequel (and maybe even a third film) arriving in addition to the series. Westworld Season 4 has already shifted everything fans were expecting from the show. With a few new characters to explore and familiar faces emerging from the wilderness, it’s clear that the conflict isn’t over just yet. There’s no telling how many more seasons of the show there will be, but as Season 4 continues to unfold, it’s obvious that showrunner Alison Schapker and creators Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy, have an endgame in mind.
There are hints throughout all the previous seasons as to what that finale may be. Is it possible that Westworld will simply end where it began? Few shows have managed to conclude their arcs with a return to the status quo, but the bizarre storytelling of the science-fiction HBO hit might be one of the franchises that could pull it off. Please remain seated, strapped in and keep all arms and legs inside the thrill-ride that is sure to be “Westworld” Season 4. Premiering June 26, the HBO sci-fi thriller will, according to its new trailer, venture into a new theme park reminiscent of the gangster era.
Adapted from “Jurassic Park” writer Michael Crichton’s 1973 film of the same name, the series stars Evan Rachel Wood, Thandiwe Newton, Ed Harris, Jeffrey Wright, Tessa Thompson, Luke Hemsworth, Aaron Paul and Angela Sarafyan. Season 4 will also see James Marsden’s return (the actor was in Season 1 and had a recurring role in Season 2). New cast members for the fourth installment include Oscar winner Ariana DeBose, Aurora Perrineau and Daniel Wu.
Details are scant surrounding the new season, as the show’s EPs and cast remain tight-lipped about what viewers can expect. The trailer doesn’t give much away, except for spooky and dystopian vibes.

James Marsden’s “Westworld” character Teddy Flood is dead but not forgotten. Scratch that – apparently he’s not dead either.
During HBO show’s Atx TV Festival panel Saturday in Austin, Texas, Marsden surprised fans when he joined fellow cast members Evan Rachel Wood, Jeffrey Wright, Luke Hemsworth, Angela Sarafyan and Aurora Perrineau, along with co-creator and executive producer Lisa Joy.
If you remember back to 2018 and the end Season 2 of “Westwood,” a distraught Teddy adjusted his programming and killed himself in front of Dolores (Wood). Of course, no one leaked the news of Teddy’s return — or anything else for that matter.

It’s been two years since Season 3 of HBO‘s Westworld concluded and fans have been anxiously awaiting new stories. Co-creator Lisa Joy made a special appearance at the Atx Festival on Saturday night alongside writer Alison Schapker and stars Evan Rachel Wood, Jeffrey Wright, Luke Hemsworth, Angela Sarafyan, and Aurora Perrineau.
Joy confirmed Wood’s character Dolores is dead as it was revealed in the Season 3 finale, and the actress will play someone new when the show premieres on June 26. Her name is Christina and she’s from a city that looks like New York. She lives there with her roommate played by Ariana DeBose who may or may not have a crush on Christina.
“Dolores is dead. But I really like Evan and she’s also kind of clinging so I had to bring her back. We write a whole new character for her,” Joy said.
