Earlier this week, All Time Low took to their Twitter account to let fans know that they were logging some studio time with Mark Hoppus. It was an announcement that was greeted with much enthusiasm from the band's fans, though it wasn't exactly surprising.
After all, All Time Low recorded a song with Hoppus in the lead-up to their last album, Nothing Personal, and though the track didn't make the final cut, Hopp took it in stride, making a cameo in the band's video for the first single, "Weightless."
And days after Personal bowed at #4 on the Billboard albums chart, frontman Alex Gaskarth told MTV News that they definitely planned on re-teaming with Hoppus in the future, and promised that...

Okay, so it's not an official poster for "The Avengers," Marvel Studios' upcoming superhero team-up extravaganza, but what's a little Photoshop fun among friends?
Now that Chris Evans has been cast as Captain America, the final member of the team's core cast (or what we know of it, at least) has a face to go with the role. And while there are probably still a few more "Avengers" characters that need to be cast, we decided to try our hand at envisioning what a poster for the 2012 film might look like.
"Avengers" Assemble!
Many thanks to MTV's Andrew Ross-Rowe for the Photoshop skillz.
Any cool "Avengers" mock-ups you've found around the 'Net? Let us know in the comment section or on Twitter!

Ah, the Grammys. A time for choreographers of overblown production numbers to ply their trade, for Neil Portnow to put all those "public speaking" courses to good use and for various talking heads to pontificate endlessly about "the music biz."
See, if there's one thing that's never in short supply at the Grammys, it's people willing to talk about the Grammys. Producers, writers, hilarious gap-toothed indie comedians — they're all available, ready to ramble on about just how great "Single Ladies" was. This is how the entertainment business runs, after all.
The only problem is, we waited too long and couldn't actually book any of them. We run a tight ship 'round these parts.
Needless to say, we were scrambling to find anyone to talk about the Grammys … when, suddenly, a thought dawned on us: "Why don’t we just use some of the many talented, telegenic and intelligent people who work in the MTV Newsroom!

By now, you've already seen our list of the 11 Most Insane "American Idol" Album Covers Of All Time, Starring Jim Cantiello. As the digital producer and photographer behind this zany creation, I have a newfound appreciation for all the hard work that goes into making an album cover. For example, it took us at least 15 takes before we got Adam Lambert's glam-tastic facial expression and angle right. The dude sure knows how to strike a pose. And never did I think that painting tufts of leg hair would require so many sleepless nights.
Props to Jim for nailing every expression, and for being a good sport. There are very few people in the office who'd willingly wear ridiculous wigs and outfits and pose half-naked under bright lights. (Well, except you, Andrew Ross Rowe.)
Now, I've got an entire desktop filled with enough topless photos of Jim...

New York — If you had the pleasure of catching Har Mar Superstar on Tuesday night's "Late Night With Jimmy Fallon," you might have noticed something missing from the performance: his signature bare chest and thighs.
"A lot of times when I do television appearances, the producers would ask me to get down to the underwear," said Sean Tillman, the man behind the glitz and glamour. "We want the balls on TV! We want everyone to know what drew us to you."
But the charismatic crooner kept his clothes on while performing "Tall Boy," the lead single from his new album Dark Touches.

New York — It's not just the stars who are taking over Sixth Avenue for the Video Music Awards: Some of their biggest fans have gathered around Radio City Music Hall to catch a glimpse of Lady Gaga or Taylor Swift.
Sarah Perry, who came in from Staten Island, explained to MTV News why she wanted to catch a glimpse of Swift. "She's really talented and pretty awesome," she said. Perry added that watching the show live is so much cooler than on TV because she just might get "to meet people, hopefully. I don't know what's going to happen."
Her friend Amanda Dipaolo, 16, added, "I'm excited to see Justin Bieber and Taylor Swift.
