Billie Lourd is remembering her mother Carrie Fisher seven years after her death and opening up about how she has processed grief over time.
Fisher, best known for her role as Star Wars’ Princess Leia, died Dec. 27, 2016, at age 60. On Wednesday, her daughter took to social media to pay tribute to Fisher by sharing a photo of herself as a child with her mom, playing in the sand at the beach.
“It has been 7 years since my mom died (but who’s counting?? Me I guess?),” she wrote in the post’s caption. “Every anniversary brings a different iteration of my grief. Some infuse me with rage, some make me cry all day long, some make me feel dissociated and empty, some make me feel nothing, some make me feel guilty for feeling nothing, and some make me feel all of those things all at once.”

Carrie Fisher is being honored posthumously with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and her daughter and costar both paid their respects to the late legend at the event. Fisher received the star on May 4, also known as Star Wars Day, and her daughter, Billie Lourd, and costar Mark Hamill both honored her with speeches and posed alongside Star Wars mainstays C-3Po and R2-D2.
Hamill kicked off the ceremony by sharing his love for his onscreen sibling, who died in 2016. "I'll never stop missing you, but I'm so thankful we had her as long as we did," he said. "I'm grateful for the laughter, the wisdom, the kindness, and even the bratty self-indulgent crap my beloved space twin drove me crazy with through the years. So thank you, Carrie, I love you."
Lourd also honored her mother in her speech. "I know my mom would...

Billie Lourd is gearing up to celebrate her late mom, Carrie Fisher, on May 4 as the latter receives a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Carrie died on Dec. 27, 2016, at age 60, and one day later, her mother (Lourd's grandmother), Debbie Reynolds, died at age 84. Ahead of Carrie's big day, Lourd revealed why her mother's siblings - Todd, Joely, and Tricia Leigh Fisher - aren't invited to the ceremony.
In a statement to The Hollywood Reporter on May 3, Lourd said the trio are not invited and "they know why." She said in part, "Days after my mom died, her brother and her sister chose to process their grief publicly and capitalize on my mother's death, by doing multiple interviews and selling individual books for a lot of money, with my mom and my grandmother's deaths as the subject."
Lourd continued, "I found out they had done this through the press.

Carrie Fisher’s brother, Todd, is speaking out in response to remarks made by his niece, Billie Lourd, on why he wasn’t invited to Carrie’s Walk of Fame ceremony.
Todd spoke with Et on Wednesday and addressed claims Lourd recently made in a statement given to The Hollywood Reporter in which she accused Todd of trying to “capitalize” on her death.
“I take issue with what she said on every level,” Todd told Et. “There was no money made on anything.”
Carrie died on Dec. 26, 2016 at 60 years old. The next day, the actress’ mother — and Lourd’s grandmother — the iconic performer Debbie Reynolds, also died at 84.
“I did one 20/20 interview, and I didn’t charge for that,” Todd shared. “I only did that because the pundits were making a big deal out of the fact that my mother died of a broken heart. And it was really annoying...

Billie Lourd has long preferred to keep her personal life as private as possible but the actress has taken the rare step of releasing a public statement to quiet family discord by offering her side of the story ahead of a special ceremony honoring her late mother Carrie Fisher.
In a statement received by The Hollywood Reporter, Lourd first apologizes to “anyone reading this for feeling the need to defend myself publicly” from the family members, adding that she’s only doing so after being “publicly attacked by them” via statements given to TMZ and posted on social media. She then confirms that she did not invite Fisher’s siblings Todd, Joely and Tricia Leigh Fisher to Thursday’s Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony and “they know why.”

Vanity Fair’s annual Oscar party took place Sunday at the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts in Beverly Hills. I have all the details from inside the event, which as usual attracted the most elite of the Hollywood set who poured in after watching Everything Everywhere All at Once score seven Oscar trophies including Best Picture.
We managed to get our hands on the guest list for the event, held in a 3,000-square-foot indoor reception area, with additional courtyards and other outdoor lounge spaces. The main bar, a prime gathering spot, was 40 feet long. The guests danced into the early-morning hours.

Billie Lourd posted an emotional tribute to her late mother, Carrie Fisher, on the sixth anniversary of her death Tuesday.
The photo shows a young Lourd and her mother smiling together at a restaurant. Fisher died suddenly of cardiac arrest in 2016 at the age of 60.
“It has been 6 years since my Mom died (feels like 2 but also like 705 at the same time) and unlike most other years since she’s died, this year, these past two weeks have been some of the most joyful of my life,” she wrote. “Giving birth to my daughter and watching my son meet her have been two of the most magical moments I have ever experienced. But with the magic of life tends to come the reality of grief.”
Lourd, 30, and her husband Austen Rydell welcomed their second child earlier this month, daughter Jackson Joanne. They are also parents to their two-year-old son Kingston.

Billie Lourd took to Instagram on Friday to honour her late mother, Carrie Fisher, on what would have been the actress’ 66th birthday.
“ My Momby would have been 66 today. I woke up this morning feeling like I should write some long wise grief advice caption like I know what the f**k I’m talking about,” Lourd started. “But then I realized even after 6 years I still have no formula or map on what to do on days like these. You can never be an expert in grief. It is forever changing – the ultimate shape shifter. And you never feel like you know exactly what to do or feel. And that’s okay. Whatever you feel is okay. Sending my love to all the griefers (yet another billie lourd petition to make this a real word) out there. You are not alone. ”

Joanne Linville, who played the Romulan commander in a memorable 1968 Star Trek episode and had scores of other screen credits, died Sunday. She was 93. CAA made the announcement but did not disclose a cause of death.
Linville began racking up TV guest roles in the mid-1950s, appearing on such series of the era as Studio One, Alfred Hitchcock Presents, Kraft Theatre and Playhouse 90. She continued to guest on drama series throughout the ’60s, including such classics as Bonanza, Gunsmoke, The F.B.I., Route 66, Ben Casey, I Spy and a two-part Hawaii Five-0.
Of her work in that era, she might be most recognizable as Lavinia Gordon, the owner of a ruined Southern mansion in the Civil War-themed 1961 Twilight Zone episode titled “The Passersby,” which also starred James Gregory.
But despite her prolific active career from the mid-’50s to the late-’80s, and included a few latter-day roles, Linville...
