The year is 1979 and you are camp counselors who are being stalked through a maze of cabins and camp trails by Otis, a homicidal killer that wears a bear mask. Welcome to Camp Grizzly, a survival horror board game that has already reached its goal on Kickstarter and has more than doubled it.
I knew this was something that Daily Dead readers would be really excited to learn more about, so I got in touch with Jason Peter Topolski and Austin Madison of Ameritrash Games to learn all about their project. Continue reading to find out how this game evolved from an idea they had in high school in the 90′s, what the extra Kickstarter funds will bring to the final product, future release plans, and their interest in a Camp Grizzly movie:

We love Pixar movies, and we love video games, so this press release announcing the formation of Steel Wool Games might be the greatest thing since someone got their chocolate stuck in someone else’s peanut butter. Five artists from the vaunted animation studio have decided their lives weren’t quite busy enough and have formed Steel Wool Games, a new development team working in collaboration with publisher Ripstone. Founded by Sequoia Blankenship, Andrew Dayton, Jonathan Hoffman, Joshua Qualtieri and Jason Topolski, Steel Wool is looking to bring the lush visuals of your standard Pixar feature to a gaming platform near you. Their first project, entitled Flyhunter, is due out later this year. We’re not sure what, exactly, the game is about at this point &ndash...

The Muppets is in Us cinemas today and we have to wait flippin ages until February 2012 to see it. No, we are Not happy! Another reason that we are not happy is that the short film which will sit in front of The Muppets is a new one from Pixar using Toy Story and has the name Small Fry. We’ve seen a couple of images and a clip already but I think this one might be my favourite as it shows Mini Buzz getting to meet Mini Zurg. I guess if he met normal-sized Zurg it would be an unfair fight!
The voice cast is comprised of Tom Hanks, Tim Allen, John Ratzenberger, Wallace Shawn, Joan Cusack, Estelle Harris,Don Rickles, Jane Lynch, Teddy Newton, Emily Hahn, Angus MacLane, Lori Alan, Josh Cooley, Jess Harnell, Bret Parker, Emily Forbes, Kitt Hirasaki, Peter Sohn, Carlos Alazraqui, Bob Bergen, Timothy Dalton,...
