There are plenty of TV characters who are famous for lasting way longer than they were supposed to. If you're ever in any kind of trivia game, the fact that Jesse in "Breaking Bad" was supposed to die in season 1 will probably come in handy; similarly, Jack Shephard was supposed to die in the pilot of "Lost." But NoHo Hank (Anthony Carrigan) is on a whole other level: not only was he also supposed to get killed off in the pilot episode of "Barry," but realistically he probably should've died multiple times throughout each season so far. Everyone else on the show suffers from the natural consequences of their actions, but Hank charmingly slithers away from those consequences every time.
The first episode of "Barry" season 4 shows Hank enjoying the rewards of his latest escape from certain death, chilling in a nice house with his boyfriend Cristobal (Michael Irby), both...

Although he won Emmys in 2018 and 2019 for his work on “Barry,” Bill Hader was unfortunately kept from repeating his success at the SAG Awards by Tony Shalhoub and his “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” cast mates. Following a pandemic-induced three-year hiatus, Hader has now received his third pair of comedy actor and ensemble SAG Award nominations for the HBO series. Since Shalhoub was doubly overlooked this time and reigning back-to-back comedy actor champ Jason Sudeikis (“Ted Lasso”) is out of contention, Hader’s path to individual victory is clearer than ever.

The actor whose performance as a fictional Turkish president on Netflix's Designated Survivor has led to a real-life political row has weighed in on the controversy.
Netflix last week removed season 2 episode 7 of the political thriller series from its Turkish service after the government in Ankara claimed the show, in which Troy Caylak plays a villainous, fictional Turkish leader called Fatih Turan, violated its censorship laws. Netflix's policy is always to comply with local law.

Netflix has removed an episode of “Designated Survivor” from its service in Turkey over complaints from Turkish censors that the episode painted a fictional version of the country’s president in an unflattering light.
“Following a demand from the Turkish regulator, we have removed one episode of ‘Designated Survivor’ from Netflix in Turkey only, to comply with local law. It is still available on our service in the rest of the world,” a Netflix spokesperson told TheWrap.
The episode “Family Ties,” which premiered on the streamer in 2018, depicts a fictional version of a Turkish president named Fatih Turan played by actor Troy Caylak (pictured above). The character meets resistance from Turkey’s opposition while attending a Nato summit in the U.S., where he interacts with the fictional U.S. president Tom Kirkman (Kiefer Sutherland).

Netflix has removed an episode of political thriller series Designated Survivor in Turkey following a demand from the country’s censor board.
The episode, number seven from season two (when the show was still made by ABC), depicts a fictitious Turkish president, played by Troy Caylak, as its antagonist. Kiefer Sutherland leads the show as U.S. president Tom Kirkman.
“Following a demand from the Turkish regulator, we have removed one episode of Designated Survivor from Netflix in Turkey only, to comply with local law,” the streamer said in a statement.
The episode remains on the service in all other territories. The show, produced by the Mark Gordon Company and Kinberg Genre, ran on ABC for two seasons, with Netflix handling international. After being cancelled by the U.S. network, eOne and Netflix commissioned a third series, cancelling the show after it aired in summer 2019.

"You pick your facades, yet?" This isn't so much science fiction, more science reality, because we're closer than ever to this technology actually existing. But it's still fun to see them play with this technology concept in a short film anyway. Face Swap is a fun short film made by filmmakers David Gidali & Einat Tubi, inspired by (and utilizing) the "deepfakes" AI technology from the internet. It's the same tech that Jordan Peele use to create his infamous Obama speech. A couple decides to try out the Face Swap service, choosing Rachel McAdams and George Clooney as their temporary "fantasy" personas. The short (actually) stars Troy Caylak, Megan Gray, and Noelle Urbano. This is another cautionary tale, of course, but it's also a mesmerizing and clever look at where technology is taking us - and some of the worrisome implications of it. First premiered by Directors Notes. Original description from...

We correctly guessed that the new Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. director would be based on '40s era Marvel Comics hero The Patriot a while before Jeffrey Mace (Jason O'Mara) made his debut on the show, but so far there hasn't been any indication that he ever actually fought under that mantle. However, the second episode back just so happens to be titled "The Patriot", and based on what we learn from the synopsis below, that could well mean we'll get to see Mace suit-up. Episode 4.10 - The Patriot Coulson and Mack discover a shocking secret about Mace, which leaves all of S.H.I.E.L.D. in a dangerous position. Guests: Jason O'Mara, Mallory Jansen, Adrian Pasdar, Maximilian Osinski, Patrick Cavanaugh, Troy Caylak, Kimberley Drummond, Shelly Robertson, Alastair Bayardo The small-screen version of Mace is a lot different to his comic book counterpart (he's an Inhuman, for one), so even if S.

On the heels of an overall synopsis for the second half of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.‘s fourth season and a breakdown of the first episode back, we now have this intriguing tease for the following week’s installment, which is titled “The Patriot.” As many Marvel Comics fans rightfully guessed around the time he debuted on the show, the team’s new director Jeffrey Mace (Irish actor Jason O’Mara) is actually based on a character called the Patriot – a Golden Age superhero first introduced in the ’40s, who actually served under the mantle of Captain America for a time.
The show recently revealed that Mace was, in fact, an Inhuman, who appears to exhibit immense strength (the comic book incarnation didn’t actually posses any super powers at all), but from the sounds of things, they might also be planning on taking him back to his patriotic roots.
