Riz Ahmed and Fatima Farheen Mirza are one of the most under-the-radar couples in Hollywood. After meeting at a cafe in 2018, the pair began dating and quietly wed in 2020. For the most part, Ahmed and Mirza prefer to keep their relationship out of the spotlight, but in 2021, they were the It couple at the Oscars, in large part thanks to an adorable moment captured by cameras, when Ahmed fixed his wife's hair.
Mirza is an incredibly accomplished and creative person too, despite not being as much of a household name. She may not be an Oscar-nominated actor, but she is a bestselling author and a rising literary star. Riz Ahmed and his wife Fatima Farheen Mirza have officially made their red carpet debut! On April 25, the newlyweds showed up for the Oscars where Riz is nominated for best actor. The Sound of Metal star ensured Fatima had the most glamorous experience at her first award show, even pausing their red carpet photos to fix her hair. "I'm the official groomer," he joked to the photographers.
Riz and novelist Fatima actualy met while he was preparing for his big role, when they sat at the same booth at a café. Fighting over a laptop charging port turned into a friendship which turned into something more! The Oscars are certainly a far cry from a coffee shop, but the way these two lovebirds look at each other, it seems clear they're happy to be anywhere as long as they're together. Get a closer look at their night at the award show below.

Could Riz Ahmed be any more perfect?! The Sound of Metal star and his new wife Fatima Farheen Mirza made their red carpet debut together at tonight, Apr. 25's 2021 Oscars looking so in love. The couple even shared a swoon-worthy moment during E!'s live red carpet show when a beaming Ahmed was caught fixing Mirza's hair as they posed for pictures. The hunky star made sure his wife looked picture perfect for the paparazzi while tending to her glam locks, proving he couldn't be a better award show date (or husband for that matter). Ahmed, who is nominated for Lead Actor, looked dashing an all black Prada suit with a collared shirt and formal cumber bun. His other half wowed in a...

Riz Ahmed just clarified those rumors about him having a "secret" wedding during the pandemic, after he casually mentioned he got married on Louis Theroux's Grounded podcast.
During his appearance on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon on Jan. 13, the British actor confirmed his marriage to Fatima Farheen Mirza, author of the New York Times bestselling book A Place For Us. And no, there was nothing secret about his wedding. He just didn't feel like putting it on social media. "I guess cause we live in a social media age, if you don't get on the megaphone about stuff, it's a secret?" he told Jimmy. "Like, I'm into matcha lattes, but it's just never come up. I'm not a 'secret' matcha latte drinker!"
Riz also talked about how he met his wife - whom he called an "amazing novelist" - and the story is actually super romantic.
