Whenever you have a massive multimedia franchise, you are bound to have several passionate fans who decide to take the time to make something using those characters and the world. Often, many make video games that they either keep to themselves or show off to the community, sometimes even allowing others to play their fan creations (free of charge of course).
Now, someone in the Kung Fu Panda community has created their own concept for what is described as an open-world experience set in the world of ancient China where you play as the titular hero and explore vast locations and interact with many of the characters seen in the films.
The video titled “Kung Fu Panda game But in Rtx:on” was published to YouTube by the channel TeaserPlay. The concept sees plays take control of Po in third person, with him exploring various different locations with different terrain and weather.

Following its premiere at the 73rd Berlin International Film Festival last year, “Femme” is finally set for theatrical release in the United States on March 22 in New York and March 29 in Los Angeles. The British thriller from Sam H. Freeman and Ng Choon Ping is adapted from their 2021 BAFTA-nominated short and stars Nathan Stewart-Jarrett and George MacKay. Utopia has acquired stateside distribution rights.
“Femme” follows Jules (Stewart-Jarrett), who is targeted in a horrific homophobic attack, destroying his life and career. Some time after that event he encounters Preston (MacKay), one of his attackers, in a gay sauna. He wants revenge.
With a critics consensus that reads, “Sexually charged and riddled with tension, Femme redresses the noir genre and may leave audiences biting their nails to the nub,” the movie holds fresh at 98% on Rotten Tomatoes. Read our full review round-up below.

It isn’t every day that you hear that an A-lister does not even know about the details of their popular on-screen character. However, that is exactly what happened with Dustin Hoffman in the Kung Fu Panda movies when he lent his voice to the character of Master Shifu.

Kung Fu Panda is one of the most popular animated franchises on the planet and it is so for excellent reasons. The series has incredible characters, amazing voice actors, and a completely non-ambiguous plot. In each movie, we saw the character development of Po, aka the Dragon Warrior, to a higher level than he was in the previous movie.
The first Kung Fu Panda movie came out in 2008. With its star-studded lineup of voice actors and light-hearted comedy, the movie became a massive critical and commercial...

Malaga — Opening last Friday with “Dragonkeeper,” also in competition, Spain’s Malaga Festival, its biggest dedicated event for movies from Spain and Latin America, is studded by latest films by Isaki Lacuesta – “Saturn Return,” reportedly fun, broad audience and radical – David Trueba – “The Good Man,” small scale but almost certainly ingratiating – and Antonio Chavarrías’ “Holy Mother,” about an extraordinary real life female figure in Spain’s 9th century Reconquista.
Also in the running is “Rest in Peace,” from notable Argentine writer-director Sebastián Borensztein (“Chinese Takeaway”).
All are front-runners for some kind of award next Saturday. Prominent also is a bevy of first or second features, featuring from Spain three titles from women directors – gender abuse drama “The Snows,” “Nina,” reportedly a Western set in a northern Spanish town, and tragi-comedy “We Treat Women Too Well” – plus a clutch of debuts from Latin America.

If you want exceptional animations, a gripping narrative, hardcore action, and a main character that will make you laugh your guts out while dropping your jaws to the floor at the same time, then look no further than the famous Kung Fu Panda franchise.
For the better part of the last decade and a half, this series of films has always raised the bar when it comes to telling a visual story on the big screen, which it seeks to do again with its new upcoming film.

DreamWorks Animation has unleashed a brand new trailer for the much-loved follow-up in the franchise of ‘Kung Fu Panda 4.’
After three death-defying adventures defeating world-class villains with his unmatched courage and mad martial arts skills, Po, the Dragon Warrior (Golden Globe nominee Jack Black), is called upon by destiny to … give it a rest. More specifically, he’s tapped to become the Spiritual Leader of the Valley of Peace.
That poses a couple of obvious problems. First, Po knows as much about spiritual leadership as he does about the paleo diet, and second, he needs to quickly find and train a new Dragon Warrior before he can assume his new lofty position.
Even worse, there’s been a recent sighting of a wicked, powerful sorceress, Chameleon (Oscar® winner Viola Davis), a tiny lizard who can shapeshift into any creature, large or small. And Chameleon has her greedy, beady little...

How would you handle coming face to face with your attacker? Sam H. Freeman and Ng Choon Ping’s “Femme” takes that very question — and the revenge story that follows — to a new level, as it follows a lauded drag artist (Nathan Stewart-Jarrett) who crosses paths with his homophobic assaulter (George MacKay) in a gay bathhouse months after his terrible attack. What transpires is an unexpected tale of forgiveness, empathy, and yes, even violence.
The official synopsis for the film reads: “With his performances as Aphrodite Banks, Jules (Nathan Stewart-Jarrett) has a place among London’s celebrated drag artists. One night after a show, he steps out to get some cigarettes and is brutally attacked by a man (George MacKay) out with a gang of his friends. Although Jules is able to recover physically, he withdraws from the outside world, traumatized. Months later, he recognizes his attacker by chance in a gay sauna.

Let’s get this out of the way right away. Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse is not on this list. Despite what was initially planned, the sequel to Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse will not be coming to theaters in March, or any time in the upcoming year.
However, the loss of one exciting film does not mean 2024 will be short of great animated movies. In its place will be cartoons to meet the needs of every type of moviegoer, from franchise continuations to adaptations of beloved works to new entries. Given the complex nature of animated films, many of these don’t yet have firm release dates.
Still, animations enthusiasts have a lot to look forward to this next year. Here are the big movies you need to watch out for…

The title of Fruit Chan’s Made in Hong Kong cheekily references a phrase you might have seen printed on the packaging for an action figure way back in 1997, the year of the film’s original release. But it also refers to the young, wannabe triad member with the unlikely name of Autumn Moon (Sam Lee), as well as to the production circumstances of the film itself. Its declarative label is somewhat excessive, though, as there’s no mistaking where and when Moon’s misadventures take place: Chan’s quirky, gangster-adjacent flick, so infused with washed-out and blue-filtered imagery, presents a portrait of Hong Kong that bears more than a passing resemblance to Wong Kar-wai and Christopher Doyle’s early collaborations.

Chameleon is after Po’s Staff of Wisdom, which would give her the power to re-summon all the master villains whom Po has vanquished to the spirit realm.

If you're anything like me, you caught the first "Kung Fu Panda" way back in 2008, thought it was a cute and harmless way to spend 90 minutes, and only ever thought about it again whenever it played on FX. But in the 15 years since, Universal Pictures and DreamWorks have pumped out two more big-screen sequels, three TV shows, four shorts, and even a holiday-themed TV special that, for all I know, have probably been the obsession of countless children over the years. In fairness, the idea of a kung-fu fighting panda is absolute IP gold, so I get it!
All this to say that, despite the overwhelming success of the movies, we actually haven't returned to the world of anthropomorphic, martial arts expert animals since "Kung Fu Panda 3" in 2016. That's probably because the threequel ended up as the lowest-grossing movie of the series, despite positive reviews and the fact that...

James Hong, 94, stole the show on the red carpet at the 95th Academy Awards Sunday night, posing for the cameras and wearing a bow tie with googly eyes as a nod to his role in the Oscar-winning film Everything Everywhere All At Once.

In an interview with ABC, Hong stated that this was his first time attending the Oscars in his 70-year acting career.
