Welcome to this week’s Nxt review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have Tommaso Ciampa versus Ridge Holland, which is a battle between the Italian and the Dutch. While these two countries war, I’ll sneak over to both and steal their s–t! I’ll have their wozganpas and their schloznaflas and doobagas and yoogagas…their wizflitzs and taulagapitz and their oobabalaboobalagabbabaschlipts…but most important of all…I’ll have their kakamoopakadayagabquivtiz! It’s marvelous I tells ya! Absolutely, postitutely marvelous! Hahahahaha!!!!!!!! The Grinch: You fool! They’re onto us! Me: Ah! Run Et! Runnnnnn!!!!!!! Et: Gaaaaahhhhhh!!!! Me: Nxt starts now! Welcome to this week’s Nxt review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and the fallout from In Your House is due to the dog running around with its tail up its ass. Maybe the dog is a dip-s–t? I know I am. We’ve got a couple of matches guaranteed here, along with big news from William Regal. Shall we get started?
Match #1: Breezango def. Imperium The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Walter likely won’t be happy with Imperium’s performance, as Breeznago scored a victory out of nowhere thanks to an inside cradle by Tyler Breeze on Fabian Aichner. Aichner & Marcel Barthel had the last laugh though, draping the Imperium flag over their foes following a post-match assault.
The Verdict: 7 out of 10 – This was pretty good for an opener. A lot of this was stuck in picture-in-picture, but that doesn’t affect...

Welcome to this week’s Nxt review, right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and I’m in 1989 helping Brian Yuzna finish editing the gross f—kin’ movie “Society”. Brian Yuzna: Ending needs more shunting. Tongues become asses nailing taint. (wall explodes) David Cronenberg: I have heard through the weirdo filmmaker grapevine that you have bested me in the filming of sick, nasty footage that has artistic value but should probably be burned because it’s f—king gross. No one gets to do that but me! I shall take this footage and return to my lair of Canadianess where I shall edit these scenes into a picture starring a talking asshole. By: No! My footage! DC: Ah! My footage. Men…blow the building ten seconds after we flee. By: Nooooooooooo!!!!!!!! (building implodes) By: N-n-n-n-Nathan…I’m dying. Me: No. No! By: Get the footage back. Avenge me!

Welcome to this week’s Nxt review right here on Nerdly. I’m Nathan Favel and we have Vince McMahon pretending that he is funding an independent promotion and a developmental school at the same time. Nxt…it exists. I enjoy the matches…usually. That being said, Nxt is most certainly a WWE product. It has the WWE house style getting mixed with a diluted version of the Ring Of Honor house style, but without any of the loose (very loose) psychology of either. I don’t despise Nxt, but I definitely don’t see it as so separate from Vince McMahon’s vision for pro wrestling as others do, so I don’t shower it with praise. There’s too many stories in Nxt. There’s too many titles in Nxt. There’s no true focal point, except for when someone like Finn Balor has the strap wrapped around his waist.

We’ve got the fallout from the WWE’s last week of wrestling mayhem, so forgive Professor Numbnuts for going f–king crazy! Walalalalalalalalabufffffggglalalalalalala! Vince McMahon is driving me insane! Plus, I saw that picture of him in tennis shoes. Ewwwwwwww!!!!!!! Well, before I fall off my rocker, let’s review this show and all its poet laureate madness! Two roads diverged in a yellow wood and Ireland is ridiculous! My God! Nxt! Hiya!

Match #1: Dexter Lumis def. Austin Theory The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Austin Theory looked as intense as we’ve ever seen him in Nxt, likely as a result of Dexter Lumis’ hurtful comments about Theory’s “abdominal region” — at least if one believes Johnny Gargano. “All Day” scored several near-falls, though eventually Lumis appeared to be ready to let bygones be bygones, offering Theory a handshake. Those filthy miners just want your coal! Don’t give them sh*t! Okay, Damien Priest fights Timothy Thatcher for the North American Title, because Don Knotts said so!
Match #1: Io Shirai def. Shotzi Blackheart The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Shotzi Blackheart quickly proved she was more than up to the task of standing toe-to-toe with the champion, putting forth a courageous effort against Io Shira. In the end though, it was The Genius of the Sky prevailing, putting Blackheart away with her patented top-rope moonsault after a worthy challenge.
My Opinion: 4.1 out of 5 – This was a hell of an opener. Io and Shotzi knocked the Mulan out of each other!

Match #1: Isaiah “Swerve” Scott & Breezango def. Legado del Fantasma – Six-Man Street Fight The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Tempers boiled over and led to a chaotic encounter that saw the use of a table, a fire extinguisher and even a forklift. A week removed from losing the Nxt Tag Team Titles to Breezango, Imperium’s Marcel Barthel and Fabian Aichner retaliated by getting involved in this bout. Match #1: Breezango def. Imperium – Nxt Tag Team Championship Match The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
The second time was the charm for Fandango & Tyler Breeze to finally capture their first gold in WWE. Rising to the occasion, Breezango capitalized on a misfired double-team attack by Marcel Barthel & Fabian Aichner, allowing Fandango to make a much-needed tag to Breeze, who delivered superkicks left and right. After tagging himself back in, Fandango put them away by hitting a double leg drop on both opponents for the massive victory.

Match #1: Imperium def. Matt Riddle & Timothy Thatcher – Nxt Tag Team Championship Match The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
As a significantly more experienced team, Imperium controlled much of the action. However, the decisive moment had very little to do with Fabian Aichner & Marcel Barthel. Matt Riddle’s monkey flip inadvertently sent Barthel flying into Timothy Thatcher, and a fed-up Thatcher walked out on Riddle, who was desperately seeking a tag. The Original Bro succumbed to the 2-on-1 disadvantage, suffering the pinfall defeat after the European Bomb crowned new champions.

Match #1: Finn Bálor def. Fabian Aichner The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
If mowing down Imperium one-by-one is the only way Finn Bálor can get to Nxt United Kingdom Champion Walter, The Prince doesn’t seem to mind. Bálor conquered another of Walter’s soldiers this week on Nxt, this time taking down Fabian Aichner. In what was essentially a Handicap Match at times, Bálor had to stave off Aichner as well as fellow Imperium member Marcel Barthel at ringside. But the uneven odds only seemed to further motivate Bálor.

Match #1: The Grizzled Young Veterans def. Nxt Tag Team Champions The Undisputed Era – Dusty Classic Semi-Finals Match The following is courtesy of wwe.com:

Any-way, let’s see if Nxt can manage to do a whole show without WWE promos. I have my doubts/it can’t.
Match #1: Rhea Ripley, Toni Storm and Candice LeRae def. Kay Lee Ray, Bianca Belair and Io Shirai The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
The piecemeal teams ultimately broke down in favor of Ripley, Storm and LeRae. The Evil Genius of the Sky and The Est of Nxt were unable to stay on the same page, and the Nxt Women’s Champion took advantage, taking Belair down with The Riptide for the victory.

Like After-m.A.S.H, this show has potential, but it still feels like it’s only working towards feeling different from the WWE, rather than just being great wrestling. Well, it’s better than living at the Dmv.
Match #1: Tommaso Ciampa def. Angel Garza The following is courtesy of wwe.com:
Tommaso Ciampa is back and appears as dangerous as ever, and that could mean bad news for Nxt Champion Adam Cole. The Blackheart went a long way Wednesday toward extinguishing any doubts about his recovery from injury. In his first action since February, Ciampa showed little ring rust during a defeat ofAngel Garza, securing the victory after an elevated hanging Ddt dubbed Willow’s Belle.
My Opinion: 3.2 out of 5 – This was way too short.
