Married the director Douglas Camfield, who cast her in several instalments of Doctor Who opposite William Hartnell and Jon Pertwee. Under her married name Sheila Camfield, she also appeared with the Richmond Shakespeare Society and at the Mary Wallace Theatre in Twickenham.
