Darts on the telly? Sign Jenny up. She checks out Sky 1's One Hundred And Eighty, hosted by Davina McCall...
As a massive darts fan, I was really excited to sit down and watch Sky 1's One Hundred And Eighty, the first darting game show since the TV superpower that is Bullseye. Did the show live up to its hype? Well, the jury's kind of still out on that.
One Hundred And Eighty is an ambitious and slightly bizarre show, a cross between Bullseye, Big Break and Gladiators. Hosted by professional shouting woman, Davina McCall, the show is filmed live at Blackpool's Winter Gardens, with all the theatrics and build-up darts fans have come to expect from a standard televised tournament, including shouting, giant foam fingers and some very odd fancy dress.
Each episode sees two professional players paired up with members of the public in a series of exhibition-style novelty darts games,...

Darts World Championships
Surely there cannot be a better time, if you're a real sports lover, than the start of the year, which offers up the Darts World Championships at Lakeside in Essex and then, in quick succession, the Snooker Masters championship at Wembley.
Come on. Can anyone think of a better example of two great sporting events occurring so close to each other? No. No one can. The French Tennis Open and the final of the football European Cup occur quite close to each other, I think, but seriously, let's not start comparing football (a nice enough game, if you're into that sort of thing) and darts (the sport of kings). Football would never recover.
Darts -- for our American cousins, people of other nationalities and sheer heathens who don't know or appreciate darts -- is a game for morons, by morons. It consists of throwing arrows at a board.

Approximately three years ago, The Walt Disney Company announced their ambitious plan to spend over $1 billion in renovations and new attractions to Disneyland’s lonely neighbor. Disney’s California Adventure opened in February 2001 to low attendance and some criticism from visitors. Many felt that the park, celebrating the people and places of the Golden State, lacked enough “Disney.” Sure, the place featured Disney characters and some rides or shows themed around them (It’s Tough To Be a Bug, Disney Animation come to mind), but the emphasis focused on the California culture.
Take for instance Superstar Limo, a low-budget dark ride taking “tourists” (a.k.a. theme park guests) around Los Angeles’ famous celebrity neighborhoods. This attraction was so heavily derided, it closed after one year in operation. Not until 2006 did a replacement come, in the form of Monsters, Inc. Mike & Sulley to the Rescue, based on the hit Pixar film,...
