Update: The full list has been revealed and can be seen below.
Original Post: With the Amsterdam Dance Event now underway, it’s time for the DJ Mag Top 100 to be revealed. As much of a joke as the list has become lately, we all still look forward to it each and every year and though it doesn’t hold too much legitimacy in the eyes of true dance music fans, it’s always interesting to see who ends up coming out on top.
Leaks and rumors have pointed to Martin Garrix emerging as #1 for 2016, something which would certainly make sense given the huge year he’s had. Not to mention he’s also been releasing new tracks left, right and centre this week. With the awards show now streaming live from the Heineken Music Hall, it shouldn’t be too much longer before we figure out whether or not...

At long last, DJ Mag has unveiled their top 100 DJs list of 2015. While this year’s results made for a predictable, cross section of the mainstream Edm talent pool’s most accomplished echelon, perhaps nothing spoke to the state of the scene as much as the #1 entry.
Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike secured the #1 spot for the first time in their career, all but proving that contemporary dance music is more manufactured than it’s ever been at any point throughout its history. The two artists are famous for enlisting the services of ghostwriters like Maarten Vorwerk to assist in their productions, and engaged in notoriously aggressive marketing campaigns to drum up votes.
More than ever, the results simply prove that the rankings are more for which artists have the biggest marketing budgets than anything else.

But I digress. The list itself played out mostly as expected,...

Finally, all the speculation, rumors and heated arguments can come to an end, as DJ Mag has revealed their infamous Top 100 ranking list of the best DJs in the world. Despite being based on popularity rather than talent, people make a pretty deal out of this list every year, and even though it gets a lot of criticism, it’s always fun to see who comes out on top.
Taking to Twitter earlier today, DJ Mag announced the results of their poll and once again, Hardwell emerged victorious, taking the number one spot for the second year in a row. Not far behind him were all the usual suspects (Tiesto, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Avicii, Martin Garrix etc.) and overall, this list is mostly what everyone predicted from the start, as it always is.
You can check out Hardwell’s official statement on his win below:
“Wow – this is a dream that just keeps going!
