It won’t be a development season if ABC, run by British-born Paul Lee, doesn’t adapt several UK formats. The network has put in development No Angels, a half-hour single-camera comedy based on the praised 2004 hourlong dramedy, which aired on Channel 4 for two seasons. Producing are Amblin TV and ABC Studios, partners on the new ABC drama series Lucky 7, also based on a British format. Written by Kat Likkel & John Hoberg (The Neighbors, My Name Is Earl), who will serve as showrunners, No Angels is about a raucous group of four female nurses working together and sharing the same house in a Bridesmaids-style girl gang comedy. British-born Julie Anne Robinson, who has helmed two episodes of the original series, is set to direct the potential pilot. She is executive producing with Likkel, Hoberg and Amblin’s Justin Falvey and Darryl Frank. Amblin’s portfolio includes series The Americans,...

Arcady Kotler: Sculpting the Void Able Fine Art Gallery, NYC
Innovative artist Arcady Kotler is not associated with any particular creed, religion, or tradition, but excludes none. At the core of his works lies a profound sense of intimacy that hopefully initiates a dialog, for which the artist always longs. Kotler's work presents the evolution of a concept bearing form: from elaborately adorned yet impeccably harmonious ("Clothed Maja") to minimalist, with a strong reference to Russian supremacy; in "The Red Square" [left], the rigid geometry of a square intrudes on the organic form of the intentionally excessively decorated Russian nesting doll. It feels as if complexity has reached its limit and collapsed into the simplicity of the red square.
A matryoshka is a traditional Russian toy, the skill level of which rests on the number of nesting dolls it consists of. The last and smallest doll of Arcady's matryotshka is not hollow.

Kate Middleton has pulled another outfit repeat for Zara Phillips and Mike Tindall's pre-wedding party. Joining husband Prince William and other guests at the Friday, July 29 bash, the Duchess of Cambridge looked lovely in the same emerald green dress she wore for an event in Los Angeles earlier the same month.
Boarding the Royal Yacht Brittania in Edinburgh, Scotland, the 29-year-old gave a look at the delicate buttons that run down the back of her silk Diane von Furstenberg "Maja" dress. While she recycled the dress, the older sister of Pippa Middleton did trade the black pumps she wore for her L.A. appearance with a pair of nude heels.
This isn't the first time Kate re-wore an outfit. An official photo of her and William for their North American tour had uncovered that she donned the same navy blue suit she wore when visiting Blackburn and Darwen on...

A music video filmed as a promotional project for No Angels' single "One Life" has just emerged. It features four members of the girl group in individual shots. Just to name some, Shandy Molling is seen appearing in a narrow passage with hands caressing her from every direction, and Nadja Benaissa is shown laying on top of neon lights pile.
"One Life" is a dance/pop song scheduled to appear in No Angels' upcoming fifth studio album "Welcome to the Dance" which is due for U.S. release on September 11. This track was showcased live for the first time during a concert in St. Polten, Austria in early July. However, it will not be made available for digital purchase until August 21.
On the day the single is put out, No Angels will pay a promotional visit to Sat.1's German TV show "Fruhstucksfernsehen". Still on the same day,...
