"Everybody she 'plays' with dies." Flesh seduces. Passion kills. Studiocanal UK has dropped in a brand new trailer for the 4K restoration plus re-release of the infamous erotic investigative drama Basic Instinct, from filmmaker Paul Verhoeven. This originally opened in 1992, and earned the attention of adult audiences for being hyper-sexual, including the well-known scene involving Sharon Stone. It also co-stars Michael Douglas as a violent police detective who investigates a brutal murder that might involve a manipulative and seductive novelist. Commissioned by Studiocanal, it was restored from the original 35mm negative and supervised specifically by the director himself, "with invaluable input to the bonus material from Sharon Stone and Michael Douglas. As boundary-pushing today as it was in 1992, Basic Instinct redefined the erotic thriller subgenre and remains a must-see for audiences globally." The cast also includes George Dzundza, Jeanne Tripplehorn, Denis Arndt, Leilani Sarelle, Bruce A. Young, and Chelcie Ross.

Crooked treasure hunters tangle with menacing black gangsters in this crime-action siege movie from 1992, with a fine filmmaker pedigree. The late Bill Paxton leads a great cast — William Sadler, Ice-t, Art Evans — in a tense standoff that turns into a murderous ordeal when it’s discovered that a million-dollar cache of gold is to be had. The Shout Selects extras include an informative interview with co-writer Bob Gale.

65 million years in the making, Jurassic Park is still as popular today as it was 22 years ago. Despite two sequels that provided diminishing – though far from terrible – financial returns in 1997 and 2001, the franchise came roaring back to life this summer with Jurassic World, the staggering success of which proved that the world still very much holds the series dear all these years later.
With another sequel on the way for 2018, the future of the franchise is brighter than ever, but for years all us fans had to tide us over was the original trilogy. Between Jurassic Park, The Lost World and Jurassic Park III, many cast members have come and gone from the series, their characters taking part in numerous unforgettable and iconic moments that we’ll never forget even as time continues to push them further into the past.
