This year’s edition honors Elton Hart, vice president and general manager of Optimum Mid Atlantic, who served in the Navy from 1992 to 1996; Nate Boyer, a former Green Beret and former Seattle Seahawk; Jeremy Locke, retired Army Sergeant First Class who served for 20 years in both the Infantry and Special Forces; Christy Gardner,...

When philanthropist and jewelry designer Nancy Davis founded Race to Erase Ms 30 years ago, the medical world was grappling with limited solutions for those affected by multiple sclerosis, the chronic neurological disease in which immune system cells attack myelin (protective sheaths) in the central nervous system.
Two years earlier, in 1991, Davis refused to accept the bleak prognosis handed to her at the age of 33 when she herself was diagnosed with Ms. “They [doctors] told me I should just go home and go to bed. There were a lot of hocus-pocus remedies like bee stings — pretty crazy things that were not going to help you. It was quite scary and terrifying. I obviously did not listen.”
Two years later, she founded the Race to Erase Ms, which in three decades has raised more than $50 million to fund critical research on multiple sclerosis, which is estimated to affect nearly one million people in the United States.

Comedian and actor Richard Belzer, who sadly died on Sunday at age 78, played detective John Munch on several series, including “Homicide: Life on the Street” and “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit.” And on every single one of them, he had something wise and witty to say.
The character of John Munch was created on the underrated ’90s police drama “Homicide: Life on the Street.” Munch was known for his one-liners, metaphysical riffs and sprawling conspiracy theories while solving murders in Baltimore alongside detectives played by Andre Braugher, Daniel Baldwin and Ned Beatty. As he mused in one episode: “If a murder is committed in Baltimore and no homicide detective takes the call, did that homicide actually occur?”
He got a bit blue when the character moved over to “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” in 1999, where the topics were rape, assault and, sometimes, sexual dysfunction, but he was still the same Munch.

Karamo Brown is the newest face in daytime this Monday when “Karamo” debuts, and the talk show host is quick to give praise to his Netflix series “Queer Eye” for being one of the many stops along his journey that helped him prepare for this moment.
“One of the things that I give full credit to for ‘Queer Eye’ is that it allowed me to hone my skills and being able to give you real, sustainable, chunky, juicy advice that is not full of fluff, but in a concise moment,” Brown said.
In fact, shortly before he hops on the phone with TheWrap, Brown was filming an episode of his program where he imparted advice in just that manner — advice that was able to make an impact on a guest who was having trouble seeing eye-to-eye with their mother.
“I was, like, you need to understand this one concept: impact versus intention.

Tucker Carlson admitted he was wrong about the Russian invasion of Ukraine during Thursday night’s “Tucker Carlson Tonight,” but the host still found a way to put the blame for the situation in Eastern Europe on the Biden Administration. Specifically, the Fox News host asserted that he never took the situation seriously because President Joe Biden sent Vice President Kamala Harris to Europe as the world feared imminent war.
Carlson opened his show by addressing breaking news of a fire at the Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant, the largest in Europe, which broke out Thursday after Russian shelling.
“So, the situation appears to be more chaotic by the day, possibly even spinning out of control,” Carlson said in response. “And that, we must be honest, is shocking to us. We’ve been taken by surprise by the whole thing. We’re not the only ones who were, but we’re willing to admit it.
