Before Twitter free-for-alls, American presidents rarely found spaces in which to let loose — which is one reason why Camp David is so exceptional.
In his new book, Inside Camp David: The Private World of the Presidential Retreat, rear admiral and former camp commander Michael Giorgione reflects on the 75-year history of the retreat, and how former presidential families like the Obamas, Bushes, and Clintons used it to relax.
“To me, Camp David is more a psychological journey than a physical one,” Lady Bird Johnson once said of the camp (which is isolated on top of a mountain in Thurmont, Maryland), according to the book.

Since The Bachelorette concluded in August, JoJo Fletcher and her fiancé Jordan Rodgers have been enjoying some much-needed one-on-one time away from the cameras — and they couldn’t have picked a better place for that than their adorable Dallas home.
In this week’s issue of People, the reality stars open up the doors to their new digs in Fletcher’s hometown, where they moved in together less than two weeks after the season finale aired in August.

Emmy Rossum’s gorgeous New York City apartment oozes European chic — think fireplace mantels picked up at the Paris flea and gilded antique tables — with cool girl touches like a bar cart and modern art. And while it’s perfectly enjoyable to ogle her out-of-reach decor in the pages of this month’s Elle Decor, we figured why not get the man who created the original to tell us how to mimic the look for a steal.

As fun as monthly, or episodic, comics are, sometimes to fully appreciate a storyline or stories with a unifying theme you need to be patient and wait for the trade collection. For me, a lot of the Dr. Who titles come under that umbrella, as they establish a momentum that often sweeps you along, and it’s a momentum that you want to keep going rather than have it abruptly end until next month. This collection, Conversion, collects together issues 11-15 of the series, and is probably most notable for being the swansong of writer Al Ewing, who’s quirky writing and sense of humour will be missed.
The overarching storyline here is concerning an entity called, unsurprisingly, The Entity, and the chase across to space to find it.

Writer Rob Williams has revealed plot details of Dynamite's crossover project Terminator/Robocop: Kill Human. Speaking to Newsarama, the scribe explained that the miniseries will feature a familiar take on cyborg law enforcer Alex Murphy, who is struggling to maintain his humanity. "It's the metaphorical war within Murphy taken to the brutal extreme. As for The Terminator future. (more)...
