Back in 1967, The Beatles told us, “All You Need Is Love.” Back in 2004, writer Hiroshi Sakurazaka brought the world a novel called All You Need Is Kill, which served as the basis for the 2014 Tom Cruise sci-fi adventure Edge of Tomorrow… and I could understand why the title was changed for the movie, as All You Need Is Kill never sounded quite right to me. A better version would be All You Need Is Death – and that’s the title the makers of an upcoming folk horror movie have decided to use for their film, which is set to receive a VOD and limited theatrical release on April 11th. With that release date just a couple weeks away, a trailer for All You Need Is Death has arrived online, and you can check it out in the embed above.

Backing singer and former X Factor contestant Rowetta Satchell confirmed the news to BBC Radio Manchester's Darryl Morris yesterday (January 29). "It's been in the making for ages," she said. "We've been talking about it for a long time, but it's [been about] getting everybody to say yes, because it was decided from the beginning it would only be special and work if it was a total, original line-up." On reuniting with the band for the first time since 1992, she added: "It was brilliant, it was really nerve-racking but its going to be fabulous. We're all really excited. (more)...

The original lineup of the Happy Mondays have reportedly announced their return. Shaun Ryder, his brother Paul, Gary Whelan, Bez and Rowetta Satchell will return for live shows this year, together with Mark Day and Paul Davis, who both sat out the band's 1999 comeback, The Quietus reports. The group said in a statement published by the website: "The rumours are true... Happy Mondays, the seminal Manchester band who changed musical culture forever has reformed and will be available for select live gigs across 2012." Rumours of a return were shrugged off by a spokesperson last month, but Shaun Ryder later hinted that there was "a lot to look forward to next year". Happy Mondays formed in the mid-1980s and released four albums before splitting in 1993. Shaun Ryder and Bez (more)...
