- (September 2010) Went on a worldwide tour of his Pink Floyd epic, "The Wall", celebrating the 30th anniversary of the album.
- (February 2006) Went on a worldwide tour of his Pink Floyd classic "Dark Side of the Moon". The second set of each concert consisted of playing the album in its entirety. Pink Floyd drummer and former bandmate Nick Mason played in some shows.
- (August 2002) Went on the "In the Flesh" tour. Additionally, he worked on songs for a new concept album, as well as an opera to be based on the French Revolution. He began writing songs for the opera in 1989, but put the project on hold the following year. He got back to working on it in 1998, and said it would be completed "early in the millennium."
- (6/2007) Became a spokesman for Millennium Promise, a non-profit organization that helps fight extreme poverty and malaria.
