A judge had strong words this week for an Oklahoma mother and father sentenced to 130 years in prison for what a police officer termed the “worst case of child abuse” he had ever seen.
“It’s my estimation that your kids were on death’s door,” Judge William Musseman said in Tulsa County, Oklahoma, District Court on Monday, reports the Associated Press and The Tulsa World.
The 9-month-old twin girls of parents Kevin Fowler, 25, and Aislyn Miller, 24, weighed roughly eight lbs. each when they were hospitalized in December. The couple was arrested following a visit with the children to an urgent-care clinic,...

We've all got our demons and fears, and the dark has always been a big one for many people... at least that's what I hear. Filmmaker Bryan Wolford taps right into that vein with his new film Myctophobia. Check out the teaser, and leave the lights on.
Myctophobia was shot over Feburary 25 and 26 and stars Kitsie Duncan, Steve Christopher, and Eric Shellito. It will be part of The Collective Volume 4, which brings together filmmakers to create ten 10-minute short films with a theme and will combine them. The project will premiere at this year's Days of the Dead in Indianapolis on July 7th.
"This collection's theme is emotions, and the emotion I was given was fear. I came up with Myctophobia after looking through a list of phobias and settled on this one due to the wording of 'the fear of darkness,'" Wolford said. "I thought the way it...

Indie filmmaker Bryan Wolford has generously posted his haunted dorm closet (that's right ... but it works for him) film, Whisper, and we've got it all right here for your viewing pleasure.
Written by Wolford and Mat Kister, Whisper is the story of a college student named Mike (Paul James Iutzi) who ends up using the wrong closet for a bedroom (not that there are a lot of closets that would be right for a bedroom, but beggars can't be choosers). Zachary William Thomas and Sarah Tongren also star. Rounding out the cast are Wes Melton, Steve Christopher and Brittany Lynch.
Filled with a punky musical score by Anger, Whisper never takes itself too seriously, which is what makes the ending of the film that much more effective. It's a decent effort that has a few genuinely chilling moments and a final scene that pops! Brought to us by FreakWolf Productions and Reality's End Films,...
