- Toni van Eyck was born on October 23, 1910 in Koblenz, Germany. She was an actress, known for Frühlingserwachen (1929), A Woman Branded (1931) and Geschminkte Jugend (1929). She died on April 16, 1988 in Feldkirch, Austria.
- After a longer engagement at the Burgtheater from 1938 to 1942 she went to the Salzburger Landestheater after the war.
- After a few more silent films, she became known with her leading role in the early Aufklärungsfilm (education film) Gefahren der Liebe/A Woman Branded (Eugen Thiele, 1931) opposite Hans Stüwe.
- She continued to appear on stage in guest appearances for a long time.
- While the theater remained her main activity she took part in other movies of the 30's, among them "Revolte im Erziehungshaus" (30), "Gefahren der Liebe" (1931) - where she impersonated her first leading role as a victim of a rape who finally becomes a murderer.
- In 1950 she made her last film. She played a small part in the crime drama Ruf aus dem Äther/Appeal from the Ether (Georg C. Klaren, Georg Wilhelm Pabst, 1951) starring Oskar Werner.
