Radar Pictures has announced from Sundance that the company will produce "Origins" from writer/director Cameron Romero, a prequel origin story to his father George Romero's seminal low-budget horror "Night of the Living Dead." That black-and-white genre benchmark grossed over $30 million worldwide upon its 1968 release, and spawned five more "Living Dead" entires. Slated to begin production later this year, "Origins," which is currently out to cast, is centered at the height of the 1960s Cold War, where one scientist's military-funded attempt to save the world from itself unleashes its worst nightmare. From a screenplay by Cameron Romero, Darrin Reed and Bryce C. Campbell, the partly crowdfunded "Origins" will be produced by Radar’s Ted Field along with Aldo Lapietra, Bryce C. Campbell, Darrin Reed, and Romero. Executive producing for Radar is Mike Webber and Thomas van Dell. Producer Reed's tough-looking drama "Lila...

Exclusive: Olympus Has Fallen and The Expendables 3 writers Creighton Rothenberger and Katrin Benedikt have been tapped to adapt video game The Drowning for Radar Pictures. The iOS mobile first-person shooter was published last year by Tokyo-based publisher DeNa. The best-selling game is being envisioned for the big screen as an ecological horror tale about a deep-sea oil-drilling accident that causes ancient micro-organisms to be released into the water supply of an island town off the Seattle coast.
Radar Pictures’ Ted Field, Mike Weber, and Michael Napoliello are producing the feature adaptation. Tom Van Dell and Jason Moskowitz are executive producing. Radar’s recent horror-thrillers include The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Amityville Horror, and the upcoming Under the Bed. Writing duo Rothenberger and Benedikt also penned the sequel London Has Fallen. They are repped by The Gersh Agency, Kaplan/Perrone Entertainment, and Jackoway Tyerman Wertheimer Austen Mandelbaum Morris & Klein.

Principal photography is set to begin sometime early this month.
Shawn Papazian is producing along with Radar Pictures' Ted Field and Mike Weber, who developed the project, which started as a story by Myrick and producer Richard Halpern.

Jonathan Tiersten was the foul mouthed, angry little Ricky in the original Sleepaway Camp co-starring Felissa Rose and directed by Robert Hilzik, a role that cemented his status as an icon in the horror genre. However, afterwards he disappeared pretty much to not be heard of again until the new millennium when Sleepaway Camp began experiencing a resurgence and the film merited a sequel entitled Return To Sleepaway Camp, directed yet again by Robert Hilzik. However, his acting appearances still remained infrequent. However, he returns to the horror genre with The Perfect House, an anthology film. Here's what Jonathan Tiersten had to say about The Perfect House, Felissa Rose, and so much more.
So who is Jonathan Tiersten and what are you all about?
Wow, what a question. I guess there are a million different ways to answer this and they would all be bullshit. I guess I am a work in progress.
