Sunn O))) have announced a new 7-inch single and digital release, “Evil Chuck / Ron G Warrior,” as part of Sub Pop Singles Club Vol. 8.
The digital release of the two songs is set for October 25th, with club subscribers receiving the physical 7-inch vinyl copy of the single soon after.
The two new pieces originated from VIP soundcheck recordings from Sunn’s “Shoshin (初心) Duo” tour in 2022/2023 by front of house master Chris Fullard. The material was later refined at Seagrass Studios, with Brad Wood helping to arrange, edit, and produce. Matt Colton cut the vinyl lacquer at Metropolis in London.
“In Sunn O)))’s 25th year, this is an extraordinary ‘full-circle’ moment for us,” the band commented in a press release. “We grew up in north Seattle, began our musical collaboration in Seattle in the early 90’s and were raised on the Sub Pop singles series those days. The series had an incredible history,...

With a title like Killer Raccoons! 2! Dark Christmas In The Dark, I knew exactly what I was in for with this one. And anyone else will probably know if they are going to like it or not. I was quietly looking forward to it. Ridiculous killer animal – tick, Christmas horror theme – tick. Even though it’s August, I’m ready.
Although this is a sequel, I can tell you it is not essential to have seen the first one because I haven’t. It does get mentioned a lot though and you quickly get the idea of what happened in it and which characters are in both movies. In this sequel it’s Christmas Eve and Ty...

How did your #BestDipEver turn out? Doesn’t really matter, it still had the Best Week Ever last week, and you can’t take that away from it.
This week, we’ve got some SuperBowl leftovers (although we don’t really recommend you eat the dip leftover…) whose Super Bowl splashes carried them over to this week.
So tell us, Pete Lee, Adam Conover, Nick Turner & Jc Coccoli, who is having the Best Week Ever?
Are Bane & The Superdome having the Best Week Ever?
This year’s Super Bowl provided us with a few things: an undying love for Beyoncé, an amazing dip recipe and knowledge about who actually played in the Bowl. Not to mention, rumors that Beyoncé Broke The Lights further proves her royalty, and because of that, we suspect that The Superdome and Bane are both having the Best Week Ever. Lights out!

So! Who is having the Best Week Ever? Last week it was the boyband-obsessed Sherri Shepard, but this week is another big one–and we’re gonna need your votes to help decide.
Arguing the case for their picks, we had Best Week Ever cast members Michelle Buteau, Michael Che, Nick Turner weigh in.
Is Alec Baldwin(‘s Penis) having the Best Week Ever?
Alec’s SAG hair might have baffled, and 30 Rock is on its way out but Michelle Buteau points out that Alec Baldwin perfectly timed the pregnancy of his youngin’ wife, Hilaria, and that’s why he (and his penis) might just be having the Best Week Ever.
Is Oprah having the Best Week Ever?
Oprah turned 59 years old this week, and as always, she’s on top. When is Oprah not on top? She’s rich, powerful, has her own TV network and still has time...

Best Week Ever Poet Laureate Nick Turner was not at this week’s Inauguration, but he did want to dedicate his own piece of poetry to the President. Good thing we have a green screen and some Gif of a waiving American Flag. Take it away, Nick! Do our country proud.

Who is having the Best Week Ever? Last week it was The Flu, and we hope that you’re cured by now so you can vote on who should be crowned victorious this week.
To help sway your votes, we had a couple of the new Best Week Ever cast members weigh in. Here are your options.
Is President Barack Obama having the Best Week Ever?
I mean, he’s the President. It seems like every week is President Obama’s Best Week Ever, but the fanfare of his second Inauguration Day was so incredible that it seems like this might just be his Best Week Ever. Michael Che certainly thinks so.
Is Al Roker having the Best Week Ever?
…Or so says Nick Turner. A lot of made Al Roker’s famous “shart” comment, but he stood So Close to Vice President Joe Biden this week, without sharting, so...

What’s the big deal? Queen B got a little backtracked assistance during her Presidential National Anthem debut. Wouldn’t we all like a little backtracked assistance sometime? But lip-syncing, especially that little move she pulled with the earpiece, made it appear that Bey was hiding it from us. And we don’t like when our celebrities hide things from us. As you can imagine, this became a huge deal and everyone weighed in–causing us to give it this catchy name (you like?) and have our very own Nick Turner set things straight.

Former Communications Council CEO Daniel Leesong has resurfaced at Tasmanian PR, marketing and ad agency Corporate Communications.
Leesong abruptly left the Comms Council in November of last year, a departure the industry body’s chairman Anthony Freedman described as “regrettable”.
The reason for Leesong’s exit remains unclear.
His new employer’s MD Nick Turner, who is also national president of the Public Relations Institute of Australia, told Mumbrella that the nature of Leesong’s exit from the Comms Council had not affected his decision to hire him.
“We had no hesitation in putting Daniel on our team,” said Turner. “He’s very well connected, particularly in government circles, and has added enormous value for our clients. I’m surprised daily by the number of people he knows.”
Corporate Communications specialises in lobbying and government relations, but also offers speech writing, stakeholder liaison, media training and crisis management as well as advertising and events.
