In preparation for the end of ABC's One Life to Live, actress Erin Torpey is returning to the soap opera for a cameo. She played Jessica Buchanon from November 1990 until January 2003. Bree Williamson's been playing the character ever since so Torpey will play another character when she returns to the series this September.
One Life to Live was cancelled by ABC in April and the final episode is scheduled to air on January 20, 2012. Here's the press release about Torpey's return:

Alas, Variety hears that unfortuantely (or not?) the former HBO mob boss just wasn’t interested in joining Dunder Mifflin’s ranks on a full-time basis. Of course, James Spader is now the front-runner to come aboard the sitcom in the wake of Steve Carell’s exit.
