The CW has released the first official images from tomorrow night’s episode of Supergirl, and they tease a major attack on the D.E.O. as the evil White Martians come calling for Miss Martian. A love interest of sorts for Martian Manhunter in the series, he’s clearly going to do all he can to protect her despite the fact that she too is part of the race that wiped out his family.
Unlike the rest of the White Martians, she’s not a murderous monster and actually objected to them slaying J’onn’s people. With last week’s Supergirl leaving her comatose, the D.E.O. has been invaded by the shift-shaping aliens as they attempt to pit the heroes against each other by sewing the seeds of mistrust between them.

TV One original movie, "The Summoning," premieres tomorrow Saturday, June 6 at 8 p.m. Et on TV One, directed by Charles Murray, and starring Paula Jai Parker, Terrell Tilford, Dorian Missick, Darius McCrary, Storm Reid, and Diandra Lyle. In the past, TV One has not been good at executing genre work. "Fright Night" and "Fear Files" have bordered on being unwatchable, and, in a word, lazy. So much so that I feared deeply for the viewers who are largely African American adults, assuming that more than a few would imagine the horror/thriller genre as nothing but cheap, gimmicky, ridiculous fare. If these projects that are written by,...

Lifetime has decided to cancel their Sunday night drama, The Protector, after one season on the air. The decision doesn't come as a surprise since the writing has been on the wall for awhile. While the Ally Walker series has some devoted fans, the ratings just weren't high enough for a second season.
The Protector follows Gloria Sheppard (Walker), a single mother and detective in the Lapd Robbery-Homicide Division. A recent divorcee and single mother, Gloria has to perform her duties as a homicide detective while taking care of her young sons, Nick (Sage Ryan) and Leo (Thomas Robinson). They all move in with her brother, Davey Sheppard (Chris Payne Gilbert), and he helps her raise the boys. At work, Gloria works on some of Los Angeles' most high profile crimes with her partner, Detective Michelle Dulcett (Tisha Campbell-Martin). Lone Star Creator Kyle Killen Still Hoping for Cable Pickup for Cancelled Show
Killen isn’t giving up. The creator-writer-executive producer of Lone Star, the short-lived and critically acclaimed 20th Century Fox Television show about a Texas con-man, still believes the series could air on cable television. “We have 6 completed episodes that function nicely as a mini-season and we’d love to find a home for that,” Killen told Speakeasy on the eve of this year’s Austin Film Festival and Conference, where he’s speaking this weekend and the Lone Star pilot will be shown.
Commentary: The social networks
Everywhere you look on TV, there are crowds of friends and extended families all together all the time. What does it say about viewers?
Sean Ringgold bumped up from recurring to contract status at One Life To Live
An Oltl spokesperson confirmed to Soaps in Depth that Ringgold (Shaun) has been bumped to contract status.
