Well, it looks like Maluma and Scott Disick's Twitter feud turned out to be all a ruse. After the two had a seemingly heated exchange in a series of tweets on July 6, Maluma took fans by surprise when he dropped a music video on Thursday starring none other than Disick himself. The video is for Maluma's new single, "Sobrio," and it features a bunch of star-studded cameos from Disick, as well as Quincy Brown, Saweetie, Shanina Shaik, and Eden Fines. The Jessy Terrero-directed video sees Maluma drinking his sorrows away as he reminisces on a past relationship.
Maluma and Disick have hung out together several times within the last year, so it's no surprise that the two collaborated on the singer's latest project. However, fans were left scratching their heads earlier this week when Maluma and Disick started calling each other out on Twitter. "Wtf with this guy @maluma,...

Half a dozen reasons to shoot in São Paulo.
1. Diversity
One of São Paolo’s biggest attractions “is our diversity,” says SPcine president Viviane Ferreira. “By diversity, I mean the variety of locations — urbanistic and architectonic — but also the diversity of cultures, of histories that cross our city every day,” she adds. The city’s rich ethnic diversity includes an astonishing mix of Lebanese, Japanese, Italian and African people. São Paulo is considered the next largest Lebanese and Japanese city out of their respective countries. A heady variety in architectural styles, world-class cuisine, music and art allows it stand in for almost any big city in the world. The state of São Paolo also offers a wealth of green spaces and forests, a stunning array of landscapes and the world’s largest street Carnaval and LGBT Pride parade, both of which have appeared in films and series.

Wednesday evening at the Paley Center for Media in Beverly Hills, Endemol Shine North America chairman/CEO Cris Abrego discussed the production company’s burgeoning Spanish-language division alongside Evp Flavio Morales, director Jessy Terrero, and “MasterChef Latino” judge Claudia Sandoval.
Abrego oversees a collection of hit reality television programming produced by Endemol Shine North America, including “MasterChef,” “Big Brother,” “The Real Housewives of Atlanta,” and “Mira Quién Baila.” Raised in a bicultural household, Abrego explained how his background has helped shape his decision-making process in both Spanish and English language programming.
“In my house, Telemundo and Univision were on just as often as NBC, ABC and CBS, and I could easily go from watching a novella with my mom to ‘The Jeffersons’ or ‘Different Strokes’ with my dad,” Abrego said. “For that reason I think it’s given me the same credibility that any successful producer, production executive or creator would have.

“The Funny Dance Show” (working title)
For more than a year, “Stand Up 2 the Streets” has played to sold-out crowds at the #1 Comedy Club in the country, The Comedy Store. In each stand-alone episode, four comic celebrities compete for a donation to the charity of their choice. Anchored by comedian and pop culture expert, Justin Martindale, an irreverent judging panel critiques the performances so that the audience can ultimately vote on the winning team. The series is produced by Ugly Brother with Mike Duffy, Tim Duffy, Justine Marino and Heidi Heaslet serving as Executive Producers.

We examine the recent Val Kilmer movies, that happened to have bypasses cinemas...
Once upon a time, Val Kilmer’s individual look - defined by a little Swedish blood from his mother’s side - had hearts pumping. Those looks, along with his arrogant, edgy attitude and acting style, helped him clinch plenty of complimentary roles during the 80s and early-90s. Films like Top Secret, Top Gun, Willow and my personal favourite Real Genius were pushing him toward a stellar career back then, and his star was steadily rising.
See also: a closer look at what may be Val Kilmer's weirdest film
But Kilmer came down from a serious high of Heat and Tombstone in the mid-90s when he signed on to the notorious clusterfuck that was The Island Of Dr. Moreau, and only recently has the part he played in its disastrous production come to light.

Several years ago I attended a panel which though wasn’t about film did have as one of the panelists Jessy Terrero the director of Soul Plane. Needless to say, he tried to defend his film as being a misunderstood satire. The audience for the most part wasn’t having it, but he tried anyway. I think it’s safe to say that Soul Plane is considered one of the true nadirs of black cinema. If you squint your eyes and strain hard enough you can kind of see what they had in mind - a sort of wild satire commenting and upending every black stereotype that you can think of. But the film, about a guy who uses the millions he won in a lawsuit against a flight company to create his...

Has it actually been ten years already since we have been engaged in the realm of films dating back to 2004? A decade is certainly a long period of time to build our appreciation for cinema up until this critical point in 2014. In looking back at 2004, one can recall fondly some of the more desirable releases to come out at that time. For instance, the superb Million Dollar Baby was the Academy Award-winning film for 2004. Even the comedies that were released that year gave movie audiences cause to rejoice with such ditties as the sleeper indie hit Napoleon Dynamite and well as mainstream laughers in Mean Girls and Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgandy.
Unfortunately for every gem there is a dud and then some. And 2004 had its share to say the least. So how about getting nostalgic and recalling some of the notable misses that were heaped on misled moviegoers...

One day after performing the hit on the season finale of "American Idol" and two days before singing it at the Billboard Music Awards, the music video for Jennifer Lopez and Pitbull's "Live It Up" premiered on Friday (May 17).
From the runways of Paris to the beaches of San Tropez, the former "American Idol" judge shows off her sculpted bod as she belts out what the pair hope to be one of the hottest summer hits of the year.
Directed by Jessy Terrero, the making of the video wasn't as glamorous as the outcome, as J-Lo was whisked away after hearing gunfire during the shoot.
On a Fort Lauderdale beach earlier this month, the 43-year-old pop star was in an interview with "Entertainment Tonight" when shots rang out. Luckily, no injuries were reported.

Quadrophenia (Criterion) Franc Roddam’s 1979 film based on The Who’s classic rock opera tells the story of working class lad Jimmy (Phil Daniels) struggling to find his identity in a rapidly changing Britain, circa 1965. Jimmy is a “mod,” a youth movement dedicated to wearing snappy suits, driving Vespa motor scooters bedecked with side mirrors, popping amphetamines and obsessed with the new sound of bands like The Who and The Kinks. Their other pastime is engaging in bloody brawls with “rockers,” throwbacks to the 1950s, who listen to Elvis and Gene Vincent, wear leather biker gear, grease in their hair and drive massive motorcycles a la Marlon Brando in “The Wild One.” Often cited as a worthy successor to “Rebel Without a Cause” as the greatest angry youth picture ever made, it is that and more, including a first cousin to the “kitchen sink” dramas of scribes John Osborne,...

How Robert de Niro and Forest Whitaker ended up in a movie that essentially went straight to DVD and Blu-Ray is beyond me. That they.re playing second fiddle to 50 Cent is even more mystifying. No matter what kind of star power is in it, though, Freelancers lives up to (down to?) the expectations that enter one.s head when they hear .straight-to-dvd movie starring a rapper.. It is not good. At all.
Cent plays Jonas .Malo. Malonado, whose police officer father was murdered when he was a boy. Now, Malo and two of his friends (Ryan O.Nan and Malcolm Goodwin) are themselves fresh-faced members of the NYPD. The trio is taken under the wing of Joe Sarcone (De Niro), Malo.s father.s former partner, who is now the head of a drug task force. Sarcone and his associates Larue (Whitaker) and Morrison (Matt Gerald) are massively corrupt,...

Chicago – We get a lot of Blu-rays and DVDs in the HollywoodChicago.com office of films that come straight to the format that we don’t think are really worth our time or yours. The less said about them, the better. And yet every once in awhile, something passes through the Usps that seems like it might draw more attention that the typical straight-to-dvd junk. An action movie with two Oscar winners and gritty style? Sounds like a perfect late summer rental? “Freelancers” is very far from perfect.
Rating: 1.0/5.0
Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson might have once been a big enough star to allow producers to get over the fact that he’s too dull here to warrant giving this flick a theatrical release. Jackson is not an interesting protagonist but that’s not the biggest problem with “Freelancers.” If a computer program was fed cliches about the “bad cop action genre,...

The Movie Pool goes rogue for the Freelancers Blu-ray!
The Set-up
A rookie NYC cop (Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson) finds that his training officer is part of a band of crooked cops, whose leader (Robert DeNiro) protects the city's organized crime. Also stars Forest Whitaker and Dana Delaney.
Directed by: Jessy Terrero
The Delivery
Freelancers is a convoluted cop film that tries to be Training Day, but gets dragged down by multiple pointless character arcs and a mumbling performance from rapper turned actor Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson. That's really too bad, because despite Jackson's lack of acting skills and a cliche-ridden script, there's actually a decent cop movie here.
Mind you, this isn't Heat or Copland or anything close to that, but Freelancers is watchable when it isn't tripping itself up. Terrero seems like a competent director, and the films certainly looks good, but the script by L. Philippe Casseus tries way...

You've got to give him credit. Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson keeps cranking them out one right after the other. Whether they're any good or not is something else altogether. However I have seen one of his previous films, Set Up, with Bruce Willis in an extended cameo, and, no surprise, it was pretty rank. But as long as he keeps trying, he's bound to make a good one, and perhaps his latest film, Freelancers, will be that one; it comes out on DVD from Lionsgate Home Video on Aug. 21st. It co-stars Forest Whitaker and a slumming Robert De Niro (maybe Fiddy had some incriminating pictures of him) and was directed by Dominican filmmaker Jessy Terrero....

50 Cent keeps talking Robert De Niro into starring in his movies. They acted together in "Righteous Kill" back in 2008 and now they've re-teamed for "Freelancers" crime thriller, which co-stars Forest Whitaker. Check out the trailer for their new film below. In the movie, 50 Cent plays the son of a slain NYPD officer who, with his two best friends, joins the Police Academy. After graduating, he's taken under the wing of his father's former partner Captain Vic Sarcone (De Niro) and becomes part of Sarcone's rogue task force. Jessy Terrero, who directed "Soul Plane" and 50 Cent's "Gun," helmed "Freelancers," which will be going straight to DVD. Trailer:...

Money can’t buy you happiness, but apparently it can buy top talent for your crappy movies. Rapper-turned-entrepreneur 50 Cent extended his empire into film production with his company Cheetah Vision Films, and besides the cast listings, the results are less than promising. The flops offer nothing to audiences, but leave big names like Bruce Willis – who starred in the thriller, Setup – laughing all the way to the bank.
A trailer for Cheetah Vision’s next obscure release, Freelancers, was leaked online, and the first look delivers a depressing roster of once distinguished actors. Robert De Niro and Forest Whitaker play corrupt police officers in this tired cop drama – if their involvement wasn’t bad enough, they also take second billing to the ever humble Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson, who plays Malo, the son of a murdered NYC cop. He’s then mentored by his father’s former partner, who’s played...

Freelancers is an upcoming Jessy Terrero directed movie with some crazy cast on board. I mean, don’t get me wrong – I actually love this strange mix of 50 Cent, Robert De Niro and Forest Whitaker. And when you see the new trailer for the whole thing – I’m sure you’re going to like the [...]

Sales agent and Prod co. Inferno Ent.’s Jim Seibel and Bill Johnson must totally be stoked at finding one of their own in the Main Competition this year. Andrew Dominik’s Killing Them Softly (aka Cogan’s Trade) will have photogs going bezerk for Brad Pitt and the film might just pan out to be this year’s Drive for being so badass. On the horizon we have Allen Hughes breaking away from his brother with Broken City and Andrew Niccol takes on fan favorite The Host.

Looks like all the attention is on J-Lo lately and it's not all about her divorce to Marc Anthony.
Ahem, all eyes are on her body.
While filming the music video for her new single "Follow The Leader" in Acapulco, Mexico, the mother of two proved that she still has it.
The 42-year-old singer wore skintight leather pants which accentuated her famous rear and paired them up with a cropped, metallic Gucci top that revealed her abs. She wore open toe black booties.
When she wasn't singing and dancing in front of the camera, J-Lo was seen canoodling with beau Casper Smartin an Acapulco rooftop.
Her new single is a collaboration with reggaeton artists Wisin & Yandel. The video was directed by Jessy Terrero.
