- Raised in Traverse City, Michigan, Tom played three sports in high school, but was considered too small to play at his Big Ten University, Michigan State. It wasn't until after college that Tom caught the acting bug, attending acting classes in Chicago at Act One and the Pivens Workshops, as well as participating in Master Acting Classes with Uta Hagen. Tom played his first major role on stage in "Scenes from an Unfinshed Country," and has had lead and supporting roles in two feature films,"Under the Bus" and "Between Us."
