Zak Bagans knows there will be skeptics.
The paranormal expert, who has been investigating hauntings on Travel Channel’s Ghost Adventures since 2008, just released a new feature-length documentary, Demon House, about a now-demolished dwelling in Gary, Indiana, that was said to be “a portal to Hell.” Bagans bought the home, sight unseen, after reading about then-residents Latoya Ammons and her family, who claimed to have experienced paranormal activity including physical contact, possession and levitation.

Inspired by true events that shocked the world and to this day still frighten and fascinate, The House at the End of the Drive was shot on location on Cielo Drive… just a knife’s throw away from the site of the Manson/Tate murders.
Produced by the homeowner David Oman, the movie blends fact with fiction as supernatural forces from the past transport he and his dinner guests through time -- back to the night of the original murders.
The movie recently enjoyed a big red carpet gala premiere in Hollywood at Shockfest (where it took home “Best Writer” honors in the closing Awards). We were lucky enough to catch up with Oman for this exclusive interview.
Dread Central: I’ve been hearing about your haunted house for years, but I never did have the, er, pleasure of visiting. I recall, a few years back, you used to host film screenings and tours.

We're less than a week away from the limited edition Blu-Ray and DVD release of 'Montauk Chronicles,' the new documentary project from filmmaker Chris Garetano ('Horror Business') and now a 5-minute preview (the first of three scenes) from the movie has made it's way on-line. 'Montauk Chronicles' examines the stories and legends that surround the alleged Montauk Project: A government program that kidnapped young teens for a wide range of sinister and phantasmagoric experiments. Garetano's unique approach combines interviews with people who claimed to have worked on the Montauk project along with narrative re-creations of some of the nightmare inducing experiements discussed in the doc. Savvy genre fans should take note - you'll spot Paul W. Ehlers in this 5 minute clip; he's the fellow that played Madman Marz in the early 80's "slasher" cult classic 'Madman.'

The official trailer and website for the upcoming trippy, alien conspiracy documentary The Montauk Chronicles is now live. From filmmaker Christopher P. Gartano ( Horror Business , the upcoming South Texas Blues ), the story focuses on three men who claim they were brainwashed and forced against their will by a clandestine organization to take part in secret experiments deep beneath the surface of the Camp Hero Air Force base out in Montauk, Long Island. The doc features interviews with Alfred Bielek, Preston Nichols and Stewart Swerdlow, as well as renowned para-psychologists Dr. Barry Taff, who served as principal investigator of the now famous Entity case. Garetano wrote, directed, photographed and edited the film. As evident by the clip below, the movie has a lot more...

The filmmakers behind the new found-footage chiller 1013 Briar Lane sent over details on the movie along with an exclusive trailer and images, which you can see below. A collaboration between Son of Jason Films and Room Full of Strangers Productions, it’s currently in post and being readied for screenings later this month.
The titular address is a vacant house where a real estate company finds videocassettes documenting the frightening experiences of a man who once lived there; the tapes form the basis of the feature. “Comparisons to Blair Witch and Paranormal Activity are unavoidable,” Son of Jason’s Ryan Ball, who produced Lane with Michael Bayouth, Patrick Wilkins and Jarrod Rogen, tells Fango. “These movies have paved the way for this type of film, and have woken Hollywood up to the fact that you can draw an audience with a film that cost little to make and has no big-name actors.
