Began her career as a torch singer at The Colony in Seattle, Washington.
Was in the original stage production of "Flower Drum Song" on Broadway. In the role of Linda Low, she is best remembered for belting out "I Enjoy Being a Girl" and "Grant Avenue". She was replaced in the movie version by Nancy Kwan.
In 1960, Suzuki was nominated for a Grammy Award in the Best Female Pop Vocal Performance category for her album "Broadway '59".
Her original LPs are on display at the Experience Music Project in Seattle, Washington.
