She was a dancer normally cast in ensemble roles such as the musicals "Twinkle, Twinkle" (1927) and "My Princess" (1927). The couple met during the New York run of "Earl Carroll's Vanities" in July of 1930. They married a few months later in November and Betty retired not long after in 1931.
