Netflix has released the first official trailer for “Operation Varsity Blues: The College Admissions Scandal,” a deep dive into the 2019 bribery scandal that led to over 50 high-profile arrests, including actresses Lori Loughlin and Felicity Huffman. The criminal conspiracy to guarantee admission to elite institutions was arranged and designed by a man named Rick Singer, who will be dramatized by Matthew Modine in the film. The documentary was directed by Chris Smith and written by Jon Karmen, who had a hand in Netflix’s Fyre Festival documentary “Fyre” as well as the smash hit docuseries “Tiger King.”
That should offer some idea of the tone of “Operation Varsity Blues,” which is sure to deliver the vicarious thrill of watching the demise of entitled people who think money and privilege will inure them from consequences. While the film does not claim to be a hybrid documentary, the recreations with Modine appear so...

Ever since the Veronica Mars revival was announced, many of us marshmallows have been thinking about one thing:
What brings Logan back into the Neptune orbit?
Well, it seems like Logan is still working away in territories away from the United States of America, but he does return for a visit with Veronica, and the pair waste no time in giving into temptation.
However, there's trouble in paradise for them.

While there may be some trouble for this couple, there's trouble brewing that is above their relationship.
Multiple explosions are peppered throughout the trailer, proving that this new case is not going to be an easy one.

Veronica Mars fans, prepare yourselves for a summer of LoVe.
The latest trailer for Hulu’s upcoming revival of the detective drama has more Logan/Veronica (aka “LoVe”) content than we’ve previously gotten, and we’re about to go cruising in a yellow XTerra just to celebrate.
In the video, Kristen Bell’s titular sleuth and her sometime boyfriend seem to be meeting up after a long time apart; Jason Dohring’s Logan informs her that he’s “back for extended leave” from the Navy — to which he returned at the end of the series’ 2014 film — though we don’t find out exactly why.

Ever since the Veronica Mars revival was ordered at Hulu, there has been one name ominously missing from the cast.
Yes, we're talking about Tina Majorino here!
Majorino was last seen in the 2014 movie of Veronica Mars, but we have some bad news for fans holding out hope that she could pop up as Mac during the eight-episode limited series.

Series creator Rob Thomas confirmed at the Atx Television Festival that Majorino will definitely not be making a surprise appearance.
"We would have loved to have Tina Majorino," he said.
"She had other commitments. That was a shame. We adore her. We would have loved to have had her in it."
It's good to know that Majorino is busy with other projects, but it's a little disheartening that we won't get a glimpse of what Mac is like in 2019.

Good news Marshmallows! The first three seasons of “Veronica Mars” are coming to Hulu, and they’ll be there three weeks before the eight-episode revival premieres.
Hulu said on Saturday that the first three season of the Upn/CW series — 64 episodes in total — will be available to stream beginning July 1. This does not include the 2014 feature film, which is still available on HBO Go and HBO Now.
That means that viewers will have 25 days to get caught up — or reacquainted — with the Kristen Bell-led series before it comes back with new episodes on Friday, July 26.

Hulu has dropped the first official trailer for Veronica Mars Season 4, and the titular heroine kicks some major butt.
It's been five years since the fan-funded movie, and it looks like things in Neptune are downright gnarly.

With her signature wit, Veronica takes the man down and takes a picture for Instagram to let everyone know what he looks like.

It is a good morning indeed, Marshmallows, as Hulu just dropped the teaser for the “Veronica Mars” revival during its upfront event in New York.
The 1-minute clip shows the return of Kristen Bell as Veronica Mars herself and many other familiar (Logan!) and new faces (Patton Oswalt and J.K. Simmons’ characters) to the fictional seaside town of Neptune, California. And while everything seems happy at first, with tourists enjoying some fun in the sun as the small town celebrates spring break — Veronica is in for a different kind of blast, literally. Yes, bombs are going off left and right and everyone’s favorite P.I. needs to get to the bottom of it before it’s too late. Don’t worry, she still finds time to get cozy with Logan (Jason Dohring).

Simmons, Clifton Collins Jr., and Izabela Vidovic.

Mary McDonnell is making her way back to the small screen!
TV Line is reporting that the former star of Major Crimes will appear on Hulu's upcoming revival of Veronica Mars.
She's on board to play the role of Jane, who is described as a "warm-hearted therapist."
There are no other details about the character at this stage, but still, it's great news to know that McDonnell is returning to the small screen.
Related: Veronica Mars: Which Villain Is Returning?
It will be a guest-starring role, but it has yet to be confirmed just how many episodes McDonnell will appear in.
Mary is probably most well-known for her starring role on TNT's Major Crimes, which wrapped after six seasons in January 2018.
The show was beloved by fans, but it was a casualty of a change in focus for the cabler's scripted series, and many fans were left unsatisfied with the ending.

Veronica Mars is “definitely not a little girl anymore,” according to Hulu programming chief Craig Erwich. Fans of the show, known as “marshmallows,” will be pleased to hear that the show is “definitely an update.”
“I think on Veronica Mars, Rob Thomas, who is the steward of the franchise, has really thread the needle from what I’ve read of the show and the scripts are excellent, is very true to the character and the world and the tone of the show, which is what made people fall in love with the show — but it is definitely an update,” Erwich said Monday at TCA. “She is not a little girl anymore. Fans of Veronica Mars — or “marshmallows” as they are affectionately called — are chomping at the bit for Hulu’s upcoming revival of the popular series which ran three seasons in the mid-’00s. But while they wait for season four to make it’s way to the streaming platform, the cast is keeping fans satisfied with photos and videos on Twitter and their fairly new Instagram account.

Last week, show creator Rob Thomas also used social media to amp up fans for the revival. He took to Twitter and posted the first photo of the cast at a table read for episode 1. In addition to Thomas and Bell,...

There will be changes afoot in Neptune when Veronica Mars returns to the air.
TV Line has confirmed that Dawnn Lewis has landed the recurring role of Marcia Langdon aka the new chief of police in Neptune.
Lewis previously appeared on fellow Rob Thomas drama, iZombie in a recurring role, so this marks a reunion of sorts with the show's creator.
However, Lewis is best known for her role on A Different World, in which she played Jaleesa Vinson-Taylor.
Langdon first popped up in Mr. Kiss and Tell, one of the Veronica Mars novels that took place in the Veronica Mars universe following the movie.

Veronica Mars boss Rob Thomas has tapped a member of his iZombie family to lay down the law in Neptune. TVLine has learned exclusively that Dawnn Lewis — who recurred on iZombie last season as Mama Leone — has joined Hulu’s eight-episode revival in the pivotal recurring role of Marcia Langdon, the new police chief (since Neptune has incorporated).
Lewis is arguably best known for her five-season stint as Jaleesa Vinson–Taylor on NBC’s A Different World. Additional TV credits include Hangin’ With Mr. Cooper, One Tree Hill and Major Crimes.

Hulu's Veronica Mars revival will not be light on familiar faces.
Ryan Hansen has been added to the cast of the eight-part limited series, according to The Wrap.
Hansen played the lovable Dick Casablancas on all three seasons of the Upn/CW drama as well as the movie sequel.
It's unclear how many episodes he will be back for at this stage, but we're just glad to know that Hansen will be returning to his role.
Could you imagine an episode of the series that isn't filled with Dick's cosmic wit? We think it's fair to say the show would not be the same without him.

Dick’s playing it again! Sources confirm to TVLine that Ryan Hansen has formally signed on to reprise his role as eternal frat boy Dick Casablancas in Hulu’s upcoming Veronica Mars limited-series revival. The actor will appear on a recurring basis.
As we reported last month, the the eight-episode continuation finds Kristen Bell’s titular sleuth tracking a serial killer terrorizing Neptune during Spring Break. Franchise overlord Rob Thomas previously revealed that the quasi-fourth season will differ in tone from the 2014 fan-funded feature film.
“The movie was nostalgic — the Hulu limited series isn’t going to be,” Thomas said,...
