Warner Bros. Pictures dropped the official red band trailer for the film “House Party,” a raunchy, genre-bending comedy adventure co-produced by basketball legend LeBron James.
Starring actors Jacob Latimore and Tosin Cole, the trailer gives glimpses at some of the hilarity and mayhem to come in the upcoming release, including a scene where the duo find themselves in James’ house, talking to a hologram the athlete created to shower him in words of affirmation.
“He got a hologram of himself, just to give him compliments?” Latimore quips in the trailer.
The feature is a remake of a 1990 comedy by the same title, though the plot has been adapted for a new, modern audience. As opposed to the two leads being high-schoolers in search of a fun night, Latimore and Cole play two aspiring club promoters who decide to host a massive party to distract from their financial troubles after being...

Recently, the people over at IGN got to chat up “Once Upon A Time” co-creators Adam Horowitz and Edward Kitsis to drag more season 7 spoiler teasers out of them. They definitely delivered by revealing some very important characters that will be showing up. We’re also going to see a new gay character at some point. Unfortunately, they didn’t reveal exactly who this gay character is. Horowitz started things off by saying as much as he could about the gay character. It’s going to be a new character that they will introduce within the big premiere episode. It will come to light that this character is gay within the first four episodes. This person will also play a very prominent role in the new season 7. With that type of description, it’s speculated that the character might even be a part of the main cast. There will not...

Over this past weekend at the 2016 San Diego Comic-Con, this writer had the opportunity to speak with none other than Cassandra Peterson, the beloved actress and performer who is forever engrained in the pop culture lexicon as the horror hostess Elvira, Mistress of the Dark. Growing up, Elvira’s weekly show, Movie Macabre, was a huge part of my childhood and horror education, which made our conversation a career highlight and a truly unforgettable experience for me, both personally and professionally.
During our chat, Peterson discussed her influential career over the last 35 years, including her latest project, the Elvira: Mistress of the Dark photo book that hits shelves this October. She also talked about being a female horror icon during the 1980s, her favorite and least favorite movies she celebrated on Movie Macabre, and more.

The Ramones changed my life. It seems incomprehensible that with drummer Tommy Ramone’s death on Friday (11) that all four of the original members are gone (none of them got out of their 50s other than Tommy). I was out of pocket for most of the weekend, but his passing is too significant not to observe it. I was too young—and not cool enough— to get into their music when the foursome’s self-titled debut album came out in 1976. I remember as I got older, seeing photos of them in their matching black bowl haircuts, leather jackets and sunglasses and feeling scared. I was raised on Top 40 pop and didn’t veer outside the lines very much until I got older. They looked like they would push me into a school locker and make fun of me. How could I have been so wrong? It took until I saw...

Below, HitFix editors pondered the question, "If you had $50 just to spend on 2014 Record Store Day purchases, what would you pick up?" Los Angeles -- It took 20 years but the group Bruce Springsteen once praised as being almost as good as a lousy garage band is finally calling it quits.
The Rock Bottom Remainders, a contingent that has made it clear with every performance that literary giants like Amy Tan, Stephen King and Scott Turow really did make the right decision when they set aside their musical ambitions to write books, is calling it a career after two Southern California shows later this month.
"We've gotten as good as we're ever going to get," says lead guitarist and best-selling humorist Dave Barry, explaining the band's decision.
"You can't get any better," Barry continued. "Well, you actually can get a lot better. But we can't get any better. We're up to almost four chords now, and the Beatles quit at that point, I'm pretty sure."

Ronnie Spector has said that she is "devastated" by the death of Amy Winehouse. The Ronettes star told Rolling Stone that she saw herself in the 'Rehab' singer. Spector said: "I haven't been this sad in a long time, about anyone in this business. I tried to go grocery shopping for my family, and I was walking like a ghost in the aisles. I could think about nobody but Amy.
"When I saw her two weeks ago on TV and she was all drugged out, drinking and stuff, I said, 'Damn it, damn it, damn it, damn it! Don't become like I was 20 years ago! I cleaned up. You gotta clean up!' And two weeks later, she's dead. I'm devastated." > Amy Winehouse was so special, says Lady GaGa

Take Me Home Tonight
Directed by: Michael Dowse
Starring: Topher Grace, Anna Farris, Dan Fogler
Rating: R
Release Date: March 4, 2011
Trailer Score: 6/10
My Thoughts: Full disclosure, I picked this trailer to review because of the title. I love “Take Me Home Tonight” by Eddie Money and Ronnie Specter. But I’m a little worried about the movie, the actors are a little old to be playing post-collegiate confusion aren’t they? Still, I like Grace, Farris and Fogler (who was good in Balls of Fury and Fanboys) and would probably go see this movie on the hope that they’ll just be their funny selves. But doesn’t that other girl in the trailer look a lot like Kristen Stewart with blonde hair? Grace looks pretty hot in his ’80s suit and shades. That boy needs to be suited up more often. So pluses: cast, soundtrack, looks like it could be reasonably funny.

Steve Jobs is undoubtedly a huge fan of the Beatles. Their music can often be heard playing before Apple press events. Ironically, however, the Fab Four are nowhere to be found on iTunes--until now.
Apple is preparing to announce a deal that would give its iTunes store the rights to carry the Beatles' catalogue of music, reports the Wall Street Journal. The seminal rock 'n' roll band is the biggest hold out on iTunes, but not the only one--Led Zeppelin, Kid Rock, Pink Floyd, and AC/DC are among the others. According to sources close to the matter, the Beatles deal may have been struck last week, when reps from Apple, Apple Corps Ltd., and the Beatles' struggling label, Emi, met to iron out the details.
Is this the announcement Apple is planning for tomorrow?
We previously interpreted the cryptic message on Apple.com--"tomorrow is just another day.

Eddie Money loves good sax, rock 'n roll, and a kick-ass party in Paradise. When PopStar caught up with Eddie at a recent concert in Lincolnshire, Illinois, it quickly became apparent that this 35-year music veteran was exactly where he belonged. Surrounded by fans and dressed in Johnny Cash black, the pop/rock legend walked onstage, flashed his signature grin and said, "I'm going to do my best to put on a great show for you tonight!" To ensure that, he came fully equipped with a first-rate band, most notably the uber-talented guitarist Tommy Girvin, who's been with Eddie for the past 22 years, and bassist Lee Beverly, who's flawless backup vocals perfectly complimented Eddie's, for that distinctive Eddie Money sound that we all know and love. Playing to a packed house at Cubby Bear North near Chicago, Eddie produced a tambourine, gave it a twirl, and opened the show with "Two Tickets to Paradise.
