Can I get a "Hell yeah!" Wrestling fans should be rejoicing this morning as 2K has revealed that the one and only Stone Cold Steve Austin is the cover athlete for WWE 2K16 and will be featured throughout the game. Come inside to learn more.
I'm going to be honest here, wrestling just isn't what it used to be. I watched it all the time when I was younger, but over the last decade or so, haven't been able to get into it very much. For me, the highest point of the entertainment sport was the "Attitude" era, where The Rock and Stone Cold were prominent players along with other memorable wrestlers. So today's announcement that Stone Cold is on the cover of the new WWE 2K game, has me pretty giddy.

Ah, the joy of saving six dollars. There’s nothing quite like it. Downloadable content in games has become wildly popular for most titles worth playing over the course of this generation, and despite a few instances of broken promises and shattered dreams, season passes usually stand to save the player at least a little bit of cash. This phenomenon holds true for WWE 2K14 as well.
2K has announced that its wrestling title will recieve “at least” three Dlc packs, all of which will be covered by the $19.99 season pass. The first pack, a $9 bundle slated for a November release, will be all about the Nwo fighters – Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, Macho Man (ooh, yeah!!), and Curt Hennig will be included, to name a few. As a kid I used to collect pro wrestler action figures, and I never realized how weird it was to name a wrestling division the “New World Order.

Minutes after Matt Cain completed his perfect game against the Houston Astros last night, his San Fransisco manager Bruce Bochy hugged him and told him, "this is stupid."
Stupid was exactly what Cain was last night in the perfecto.
I caught his sixth inning before I conked out into East Coast oblivion, but the way Cain was throwing, I went to sleep fully expecting to waken to news of a Matt Cain perfect game.
His stuff was so good. His control so precise. His delivery so easy.
I'm glad I caught Cain's masterful sixth inning, closing it out against poor Brian Bixler. It was beautiful. It was stupid.
With two outs already in the bag, Cain starts Bixler out with a tight, unhittable curveball painted on the outside black, just below the knees. Called strike one.
Cain has already struck out Brian Bogusevic to lead off the inning. Chris Snyder...

Gil Evans, perhaps the second-greatest arranger in jazz after Duke Ellington, was born Ian Ernest Gilmore Green on May 13, 1912 in Toronto, Canada (Evans was his stepfather's name). Though best known for his collaborations with Miles Davis, Evans released many great albums as a bandleader and created a highly influential style that changed the course of jazz history.
Though self-taught, by age 21 Evans was leading a big band that became the house group at the Rendezvous Ballroom in Balboa Beach. Eventually it was fronted and then led by singer Skinnay Ennis, and Claude Thornhill joined Evans in providing arrangements for them. Thornhill then moved to New York to start his own band, and in 1941 invited Evans to New York to write arrangements. Soon Evans's arrangements with their lush, hazy, floating textures defined the Thornhill style.
Though theoretically a swing band, the Thornhill ensemble was one of the most progressive big bands of its time,...
