The Wheel of Time‘s third season will primarily focus on the fourth book in the Robert Jordan series and feature the Sea Folk, as well as Tanchico and Rhuidean.
During a Sunday morning special screening of the season two finale and Q&a featuring showrunner Rafe Judkins at the Whitby Hotel in New York, Judkins revealed that audiences can expect that season three will focus more on Rand and Perrin.
“Every season, we sit down in the writers room and one of the things that we do at the very beginning is pick out a couple of the stories that we have to carve out a space to make a whole episode for,” he said. “We think it’s worth it because those stories will really stand out to an audience, especially that didn’t read the books. They’re given that time, and it’s carved out, so...

One of my favorite things as a kid was whenever different television series would do holiday-themed episodes, especially when it came time to celebrate Halloween in October. A lot of great shows over the years have done an great job of embracing our favorite holiday, and if you’re feeling a bit nostalgic, here’s a collection of Halloween-themed TV specials currently available on Netflix Instant that should help get you guys ready for All Hallows’ Eve.
One Note: There are a handful of entries here that aren’t necessarily Halloween episodes, but they are still shows I love revisiting every October as they perfectly embody the spirit of the season.
American Dad (Season 6, Episode 3)
Best Little Horror House in Langley Falls: Stan's plan to out-do the neighbor's fancy haunted house backfires when Roger releases the serial killers he was borrowing from the CIA. Meanwhile, Steve faces Toshi's revenge when...

As the family winner Believe arrives on Sky Movies at the same time as cinemas, leading man and acting legend Brian Cox presents a selection of his favourite movies on demand. While enjoying his performance as the great football manager Matt Busby in Believe, you can also share many of the classics that adorn the shelves of his own library. In this introduction to his playlist, Brian shows his appreciation of All About Eve, bows down to Gene Hackman in The Conversation, and give a salute to Peter O'Toole.

"Hostages" concludes with two back-to-back episodes Monday (Jan. 6), much the way the season has unwound. It requires leaps of faith from viewers as operatives triple-cross each other. Many die, and even those who are supposed to live happily ever after probably won't.
Part 1
In "Suspicious Minds," Col. Thomas Blair (Brian White), a leader of plot to assassinate the president, kidnaps FBI Agent Duncan Carlisle's (Dylan McDermott) wife and daughter.
Ah, karma. Carlisle, of course, is the leader of a band of kidnappers who have been holding surgeon Ellen Sanders (Toni Collette) and her family hostage, demanding she kill the president during surgery.
Carlisle wanted in on the plot so he could harvest the president's bone marrow to save his wife, who is dying from leukemia. Nina (Francie Swift) is the daughter the president (James Naughton), fathered when he raped a reporter in 1978.
Carlisle has proven to be a decent man,...

Casualty
I don’t think Casualty has had a regular gay character since Toby and Ben a few years ago. I really loved Toby and Ben, together and as individual characters and wasn’t happy when the show wrote them off. So it’s nice that the show has finally added a regular gay character to the cast and I like Jamie quite a bit. I’m so glad that he’s not closeted and isn’t struggling with his sexuality, though it’s obvious that his father discovering he’s gay is going to be a storyline at some point.
As for the plot about the teenage boy with gender dysphoria, I thought that it was an interesting storyline. It was really quite sweet the lengths and risks that Zack took just to see Danny and make sure he’s all right. When Danny was...

Supernatural Episode 804
“Bitten”
Written By: Robbie Thompson
Directed By: Thomas J. Wright
Original Airdate: 24 October 2012
In This Episode...
The Winchesters are in town for a potential werewolf case. While investigating a house that ends up being the scene of a brutal double murder, they find a note on the computer that says “Play Me.” So they play the movie.
What follows is 35 minutes of found-footage nonsense. Proceeding in exactly the same manner as every found-footage film ever, it starts with two buddies, Michael (a jock type who doesn’t actually play sports) and Brian (an A/V nerd with hopes of becoming a documentarian) mucking about with Brian’s camera in a coffee shop. They meet Kate, who is drawn to Michael because she thinks it is his camera. The two fall in love, much to the disappointment of Brian, who wanted her.
Anyway, the boys are out one night...

I didn't get a chance to liveblog Days Of Our Lives yesterday, so naturally it turned out to be one of the better episodes in recent memory, full of warmth and soapy goodness. Let's look at some highlights.
First up, it's Will (still wearing the shirt he stole from Fashion Bug) finally acknowledging Jack's death with a visit to Jennifer. Meanwhile, Sonny comforts Adrienne, who tells him that his Uncle Steve was at the memorial service (wearing his formal funeral patch, no doubt), and sends his best. She tells him she knows about the fight he got into, and then in a wonderfully awkward scene, Brian shows up, and Sonny leaves his poor mom hanging. Oh, Sonny. As an added bonus, you can also see E.J. try to seduce Sami, who's wearing the final exam winner from the Geometric Design Institute.
More entertaining awkward banter between Sonny,...

Halloween episodes are always fun. But the best ones still manage to reveal something about their characters, such as that Buffy the Vampire Slayer’s former vengeance demon Anya is afraid of bunnies, and Bones’ Brennan, who doesn’t understand 99.9 percent of pop culture references, insists upon dressing up as Wonder Woman every year. Which of this year’s remaining Halloween-themed episodes (sorry, Parenthood and One Tree Hill) sounds like it will become a classic? (We’ve got details straight from the networks on 22 shows. If we’ve missed one, add it in the comments.) Spoiler alert!
