HGTV is dusting off an old format for a new collectibles series. The Discovery-owned cable net has greenlighted six new episodes of Cash in the Attic, hosted by Courtney Tezeno. The series will premiere later in 2021.
Tezeno, who co-hosted Quibi’s Close Up by E! News, is a passionate collector. She teams on Cash in the Attic with of expert appraisers including Elyse Luray, Jean David Michel and Marvin Jules to sort through homes looking for classic toys, vintage comics, original video games and other valuable pop culture treasures. Once the items are sold for top dollar at auction, the homeowners will use the money to fund life-changing dreams, such as a downpayment on a new house or a dream vacation.

Former MTV VJ Kennedy (real name Lisa Kennedy Montgomery) has released a memoir, titled "The Kennedy Chronicles," wherein she writes about everything at the music video channel from the top artists of the day to random celebrity encounters -- including one with NBA legend Michael Jordan.
In the book, according to TMZ, Kennedy was out to dinner with Jordan and Russell Simmons when Jordan busted out some dice and wanted to "play for something," saying that if he won, Kennedy had to come back to his hotel room with him.
Kennedy writes that she was a virgin at the time and kind of freaked out, so she asked for Knicks tickets instead, which is when Jordan reminded her that he was married and offered her Nets tickets.
