A solid eight years have passed since fans bid farewell to One Tree Hill. While the cast has gone on to do great things in their respective careers, many viewers can’t help but wonder about James Lafferty.
The good news is that Lafferty is actually doing phenomenally well. Not only has he enjoyed success on numerous television projects over the years, but he’s also getting ready to tie the knot.

Jamie Lucas Scott, you are making us all feel old! Jackson Brundage, the child actor who captured hearts on the teen drama One Tree Hill, officially turned 21 on Jan. 21, leaving fans bursting with nostalgia! To celebrate, he shared a pic of himself holding up a peace sign and wrote on his Instagram Story, "21 today! Any alcohol recommendations?" On the hit CW series, Jackson played the son of Nathan Scott (James Lafferty) and Hailey James Scott (Bethany Joy Lenz) after the show's timeline flashed forward four years at the beginning of its fifth season. His character was known for his adorable short stature, quick wit, forgiving heart and love for his pet rabbit Chester. He also had big dreams to...

The chemistry is good, but maybe not that good. Without a doubt, One Tree Hill viewers had a lot of couples to root for during the show's long run between 2003 to 2012. There was one pair, however, who may have been a step above the rest. For many longtime fans, the chemistry between Haley James (Bethany Joy Lenz) and Nathan Scott (James Lafferty) was undeniable. In the Sept. 13 episode of iHeartRadio's Drama Queens podcast, Bethany shared some insight into whether character feelings ever transferred to personal feelings. "James and I always got on really well, but he was a lot younger than me," she told co-hosts Sophia Bush and Hilarie Burton. "It just didn't really...

Sports stories have traditionally belonged to the movies. Something about the rhythms of competition, in which an athlete or team trains, plays, and then either wins or loses, is a natural fit for the film world’s three act structure.
Television, with its multiple episodes and seasons, is often more discursive and therefore less viable for truly great sports stories. Thankfully, that all seems poised to change. While some sports TV shows have found success in the past, now the medium has really kicked things up a notch. Sports stories like Brockmire, Ted Lasso, Cobra Kai, and more are not only welcome on television, but an essential part of the cable and streaming landscape.

“Everyone Is Doing Great,” the comedy created by “One Tree Hill” alumni James Lafferty and Stephen Colletti, is heading to Paramount Plus outside the U.S.
The ViacomCBS-backed SVOD has picked up streaming rights to the eight-part Hulu series for the Nordics and Latin America — a deal that marks the show’s first international sale. Endeavor Content is handling the U.S. and international sales.
The comedy rolls out in the Nordics from Thursday, while the Latin America premiere will come later this year. “Everyone Is Doing Great” launched in January on Hulu.
Written and produced by Lafferty and Colletti, the series follows actors Seth (Colletti) and Jeremy (Lafferty), who together enjoyed the success of hit television vampire drama “Eternal” and, five years after their show has wrapped, continue to lean on each other to navigate their professional and personal lives.

Depending on your age, you probably know James Lafferty better Nathan Scott, the character he played for almost a decade on the hit series One Tree Hill. While his days in Tree Hill have become a thing of the past, Lafferty’s career certainly hasn’t. Since the show’s end in 2013, James has continued to work although none of his roles have been as big as Nathan. Until now, that is. James is officially back on our screens in a major way thanks to his starring role in the Disney + series, The Right Stuff. The show, which is executive produced

Has it really been eight years since we left that magical little town in North Carolina where all your dreams can come true if you just smolder hard enough? We’re talking, of course, about One Tree Hill, the WB/CW teen drama that made household names out of young actors like Chad Michael Murray and Sophia Bush — and taught some of us everything we know about basketball.
In honor of the series finale‘s eighth anniversary, TVLine is checking in with 13 of the show’s stars — Murray (aka Lucas Scott), James Lafferty (Nathan Scott), Hilarie Burton Morgan (Peyton Sawyer...

Now that we've run down our favorite action/adventure and procedural series of the decade, it's time to turn our attention to a decade's worth of teen-oriented TV.
Like we've already said, there are many more favorites lists on the way, so for the sake of repetition, we've scaled some of these back to make these more fun.
As always, these lists are in no particular order.
To qualify, a show that began in another decade had to be airing during the decade, run a larger number of seasons from 2010 through 2019 if it started before 2010 or run the entire decade. Here we go!
Elite - Netflix (2018-Present)
Elite has a little bit of everything. It’s a show that has love, mystery, murder, and teenage drama all mixed together. And the combination provides us with a show that’s been a blast thus far.
The subject matter is heavy at times,...

It's been 15 years since One Tree Hill premiered on The WB on Sept. 23, 2003.
The show, which aired on The CW starting with its fourth season, followed estranged half-brothers Lucas (Chad Michael Murray) and Nathan Scott (James Lafferty) as they are forced to work together when Lucas joins the Tree Hill Ravens basketball team. While the first four seasons took place at Tree Hill High School, the final five followed the characters as they navigated adulthood.

Teen drama One Tree Hill ended its nine-season run in 2012, and there hasn't been a show quite like it since.
Many of the actors catapulted into stardom thanks to the series and are now killing it on both the big and small screen. Meanwhile, others have removed themselves from the spotlight completely.
However, nothing bonds a group of strangers quite like a TV show. Their bond has remained strong, and they continue to hang out and keep in touch with fans at conventions which have also kept the legacy of the series alive for new and old fans alike.
There are even talks of a possible revival in the near-future.
So, let's return to Tree Hill and see what your basketball-loving, small-town actors have been up to since the series wrapped.
1. Chad Michael Murray - Lucas Scott Much like his character Lucas Scott, actor Chad Michael Murray became a writer.

The women of One Tree Hill are not standing alone.
On Monday, the female cast and crew members of the beloved drama -- including Sophia Bush, Hilarie Burton and Bethany Joy Lenz -- penned an open letter accusing showrunner Mark Schwahn of sexual misconduct.
Shortly after their letter was released, many of their male co-stars came forward on social media to lend their support.
The letter came after One Tree Hill writer Audrey Wauchope alleged that she was sexually harassed in a series of tweets over the weekend. Though Wauchope didn’t directly name Schwahn in her messages, her female co-workers did in their open letter.
“Many of us were, to varying degrees, manipulated psychologically and emotionally," the letter read after naming Schwahn directly. "More than one of us is still in treatment for post-traumatic stress. Many of us were put in uncomfortable positions and had to swiftly learn to fight back, sometimes physically, because...

Don't want to be anything other than a Raven? The cast of One Tree Hill doesn't either - even though more than four years have passed since the series ended. Hilarie Burton, Chad Michael Murray, Bethany Joy Lenz and more of the original stars of the popular drama gathered together over the weekend for the first-ever insideOTH convention in fictional Tree Hill - Wilmington, North Carolina. In addition to a weekend filled with Q&As and meet-and-greets, the cast also had fun reliving their time as dysfunctional high schoolers, with Michael Copon (who portrayed brief Tree Hill transplant Felix) even leading a Dare Night redux.

A lot of TV series always describe how close they are, that the cast and crew are truly family on set and would do anything for each other. However, with people having so many different types of personalities and actors having to spend close to 18 hours on set some days, you’ve got to wonder if what they are saying is always true. Well, for the cast of One Tree Hill, the fact that they were and still are a family certainly appears to be the truth from these photos posted to Instagram by Brooke Davis herself, Sophia Bush. Bush, Bethany Joy Lenz (who played Haley James Scott), Hilarie Burton (Peyton Sawyer), James Lafferty (Nathan Scott) and Paul Johansson (Dan Scott) all reunited this weekend at a One Tree Hill convention in Paris. Bush first teased the One Tree Hill family reunion on Friday with a #FlashbackFriday photo of her and Burton…...

Perhaps this week's episode of Twisted should've been the one titled "Sleeping with the Frenemy" and not last week's?
Yes, Lacey crossed nemesis lines in "The Fest and the Furious," sharing a passionate kiss that is sure to piss off possessive boyfriend Archie.
Speaking of... where was good ol' Grey Damon this week? Filming his new CW drama?
Jo isn't going to be very happy when she learns about that smooch either. It's so obvious she's falling for Danny. It's the oldest story in the world - and no I'm not about to quote Nathan Scott. What I mean is, how many times do you hear about or see a movie about childhood besties who grow up and fall in love? It's too bad this is turning into more of a love triangle than a date with destiny.
I mean, c'mon, Jo actually took off that ugly mustard colored sweater and put on a dress.

Good news, "One Tree Hill" fans! Series star James Lafferty has booked his first major role since wrapping up his final season as Nathan Scott. Lafferty will star in NBC's untitled drama from executive producer Rand Ravich.
The series is about a newbie Secret Service agent, Marcus Finley (Lance Gross), whose first day on the job incites an international incident when the president's son and several classmates are kidnapped. Lafferty is set to star as the "boyishly handsome" (check) Mr. Nash, the private school teacher who was abducted with his students.
Lafferty is the third "One Tree Hill" lead to land a significant pilot role on NBC this season. Sophia Bush will star in NBC's "Hatfields & McCoys" as a young doctor caught in her family's feud, and Robert Buckley will star in the network's plane crash comedy "Holding Patterns" as an arrogant author who returns to his hometown for a wedding.

Okay, so "One Tree Hill" was canceled. That doesn't mean we have to accept that it's over. One famous fan of the show certainly seems to be carrying on the legacy as best she can!
Rihanna wore a glittery gold basketball jersey as a dress during her performance at the iHeartRadio festival in Vegas. The average audience member may not have made the connection, but any "One Tree Hill" fan would recognize the jersey. With the number 23 and the name "Scott" emblazoned across the back, it can only be a reference to Nathan Scott.
The CW is set to broadcast the festival coverage, so it's only appropriate that RiRi pay homage to one of their longest-running shows. Tune in on Monday, Oct. 1 at 8 p.m. as The CW launches their new fall season with a two-hour concert special.
"Just. Awesome," James Lafferty tweeted when he found out about her fashion statement.

It all started with the kids at Capeside. Throw in the kid from the wrong side of the tracks in Chino and a Jim that can make you giggle by just a quick smirk to the camera and you've basically nailed my childhood. My upbringing? My pathetic obsession over male characters that I always wished were real in my own life? Yes, I guess we'll go with that.
John Krasinki, Nick Wechsler, James Lafferty, Joshua Jackson, Benjamin McKenzie and Jake Johnson have all captured adorableness on screen, all the while breaking hearts slowly. Some memorable characters have stayed with fans for years, and some have just started. But what do they all have in common? I would very much like to date all these boys. In no particular order, here are the television characters I've been swooning over for the past 10-plus and will continue to do so. No need...

One Tree Hill wraps up nine emotional seasons Wednesday night with a two-hour series finale on the CW. I’ll admit that it really will be hard to say goodbye.
I was a high school freshman when One Tree Hill debuted on the then-wb network in September 2003. Like brainy Haley James Scott (Bethany Joy Galeotti) and baby-faced Lucas Scott (Chad Michael Murray), I was navigating my way through teen angst. I tuned in because I had a Dawson’s Creek-size hole in my schedule and I would do just about anything not to do my English homework.

Dan. Effing. Scott. Whether you loved him, hated him, or loved to hate him, it is nearly impossible to argue that he didn't have one of the most intriguing and divisive character arcs of all-time.
He tormented his sons, his wife and everyone else in town for that matter. He was hit by a speeding car, poisoned, lost out on a number of heart transplants and attempted to hang himself. Dan Scott even murdered his own brother.
He also treated his grandchildren - we mostly witnessed this through his joyous moments with Jamie - wonderfully. When it came down to it, and someone he loved was in extreme danger, he put everything (including his life on the line), saving Nathan Scott for his family.
We got to relive so much of his journey over the course of these nine seasons of One Tree Hill in "Danny Boy," whether through spoken word or visual flashback,...

The rescue of Nathan Scott on last week's One Tree Hill was an action-packed thrill ride. This week there's no real action or suspense, but it's an emotional rollercoaster that refuses to stop. It's happy, triumphant, light-hearted, funny, bittersweet, sad, tragic, redemptive, and everything else you can imagine. If, at any point during the episode, you went more than five minutes without tearing up, you're made of stone.

"A Rush of Blood to the Head," while not perfect, and certainly not at the pace seemingly necessary with only five episodes remaining in the series, was filled with a number of epic moments that pushed One Tree Hill forward on a number of levels.
Clay's revelation, Chase's decision and everything that happened with Haley were some of the most entertaining and emotional moments of the season so far. These characters took some big steps - either backward or forward - and they really have me looking forward to the home stretch.
Let's begin with Mr. Evans, who I have been extremely critical of as a character in these reviews over the past two seasons. His monumental revelation coincided perfectly with the monumental fact that I really enjoyed his story this week. What? I enjoyed Clay?

Fans of Nathan Scott found out they can all rest easy -- for now! Haley (Bethany Joy Galeotti) was called down to the morgue to identify a body believed to be Nathan (James Lafferty) on the Feb. 29 episode of One Tree Hill -- but those tears we saw in the previews turned out to be tears of joy, because Nathan was Not in the body bag! In her desperate state, Haley even did the unthinkable and turned to Dan Scott (Paul Johannson) for help solve the mystery of her husband's disappearance. It's safe to say that hell has frozen over. Meanwhile, Clay's (Robert Buckley) therapist still wanted him to talk about Sarah's death, but he couldn't bring himself to get through the entire story. And instead of trying to leave things behind and get better, Clay spent his time flying airplanes with Logan (Pierce Gagnon) -- the cutest little kid ever.

Well Lucas Scott came and went, and most people are not happy about it. We reviewed all that went on in "Last Known Surroundings" on Wednesday.
Now it is time for our panel of Miranda Wicker, Brian Shure, and Nick McHatton to discuss the disappointing Lucas return, Nathan's kidnappers, and more in the latest installment of the One Tree Hill Round Table.
Read their answers below, and then add your own in the comments!
---------------------------------
What was your favorite thing about the return of Lucas Scott?
Miranda: I think the best thing about the return of Lucas Scott was actually the music track playing as he came walking through the airport and reunited with Haley. The line "bring them all back to life" from the Feist song "Graveyard" was perfectly timed and integrated for what could have been a great reintroduction of an old character but which ultimately fell flat for me.

I imagine creator Mark Schwahn's pitch to Chad Michael Murray, attempting to get him to come back to One Tree Hill for "Last Known Surroundings," sounded something like this:
"Hey Chad, we have this episode about halfway through our final season in which absolutely nothing happens. We would love to get Lucas to come back so that the audience won't be completely bored out of their mind. Let me know what you think!"
Of course, I'm speaking hyperbolically, but without the first appearance from Murray since the season six finale, this episode would have gone nowhere.
With Murray, "Last Known Surroundings" was a nice trip down memory lane. It was not only a reminder of the old days, but of how great Chad Michael Murray was as a leading man for six years, and how lovable of a character Lucas Scott can be.
I'm not sure whether it's Murray's acting,...

We may try to avoid them in real life, but on TV, we love us some bad boys and sassy girls. (The heart of gold and/or redemption arc is optional.)
For Zap2it's TV's Most Crushworthy Bad Boy/Girl category , we've nominated our favorite guys and ladies who, shall we say, have a bit of a reputation. Sure, some of them have gone on to be heroes (who knew Nathan Scott would be a family man when "One Tree Hill" began?) but once a badass, always a badass.
These characters may have cheated, lied, manipulated, sabotaged, stripped naked in someone's car -- or better yet, stolen a car... or they might just look really good in the requisite leather jacket, but for whatever reason, they've earned their title and they wear it proudly, and we love them for it.
Choose your crush below, and we'll narrow the field later.

We came into "The Killing Moon" wondering what had happened to Nathan Scott. By the end of the hour, though, I had no better explanation of who took him, or for what reason, than when we started. Did you?
Dan did set his diner on fire on purpose. We know that. The question remains whether or not we should believe him when told Haley that all of his intentions were good. If so, he's just an old man that is trying to get closer to his family, and I can respect that. If he's lying, that would be a horrific character arc for Dan Scott.
Apparently Haley thinks he's lying, as she ended the episode with a call to 911. Not enough credit is given to Bethany Joy for her wonderful work on One Tree Hill, so I will take this time to shower her with praise for the fantastic job...

Seriously, Vanessa is about two episodes away from getting run over. I can hear Annie revving that engine as I type. Naomi's (AnnaLynne McCord) first event-planning gig turned out to be a real bitch -- literally -- on the Feb. 7 episode of 90210, when she had to throw a sweet 16 party for Mitchell's (Will Kemp) vampire-obsessed daughter Carla. But the real surprise came when Naomi pulled the plug on the party because it was getting too out of hand. It's like our slutty little baby is growing up right before our eyes! Meanwhile, Vanessa (Arielle Kebbel) booked Liam (Matt Lanter) on a talk show in an attempt to launch his career in Hollywood -- but it hit a slight snag when he was required to do more than just look beautiful. Because we all know he's got that down to a science. Fortunately, Liam got a second chance at stardom when...

So will a very powerful performance by Bethany Joy Galeotti as Haley, according to producer Mark Schwahn, who teases "The Killing Moon" in one of the two following videos. In the other, we witness a panicked Haley try to report her husband as missing.

We were all treated to another riveting episode of One Tree Hill’s final season last Wednesday. Chelsea Kane’s Tara was introduced, Clay and Quinn had a run in with a drug dealer, and something horrible may have happened to Nathan Scott.
Our panel of Nick McHatton, Miranda Wicker, Brian Shure, and Dan Forcella tackle those subjects and more in the most recent installment of the TV Fanatic Round Table. Read their answers below and then leave your own in the comments!

What was the funniest moment from the episode?
Nick: Clay and Quinn vs. the drug dealer. I'm sorry. I can't take them seriously, at all. I also thoroughly enjoyed Brooke being old Brooke for a little while in the competition's cafe, striking fear into Mouth and Skills.
Miranda: This was a pretty heavy episode, so funny is hard! I'll go with the guys at the bar one-upping each other.

It’s the question on everyone’s mind beginning next Wednesday in a game-changing episode of One Tree Hill: Where is Nathan Scott?
The CW soap’s longtime leading man has seemingly vanished and, in a strange turn of events, it’s his former foe Chris Keller who attempts to get to the bottom of the mysterious disappearance.
In the following clip from “The Killing Moon,” Keller accompanies Haley to the police station to file a missing person’s report. Unfortunately, she gets the runaround and turns to the the aforementioned third-person pro for help.

Before tonight's 'One Tree Hill,' browse our gallery of Nathan's 9-season journey -- including exclusive quotes from James Lafferty. When you think of Nathan Scott on One Tree Hill, many admirable words come to mind: loving, sensitive, rugged -- but he wasn't always that way. To celebrate his (very) gradual transformation from jerky jock to noble father, HollywoodLife.com is reliving his journey through photos. And even though James Lafferty was sadly M.I.A. from the show's North Carolina set when I visited in September, I was able to catch up with him for a few of his own thoughts on the man, the myth, the mountain -- Nathan Scott. [gallery] Now that we've all taken a handsome stroll down memory lane with Nathan, let me know what you really think about him: Do you miss his bus-stealing bad-boy ways, or are you glad he matured and settled down?...

Is One Tree Hill looking to go out with a bang or a pretty wrapped bow as it ends its 9th season? From all indications from the two-minute teaser which jump-starts this final season, and from the cryptic remarks of the cast and creator, fans better be prepared to break out the Kleenex. The body under a white sheet in the morgue make be the best clue, but given the number of tears shed at a special sneak peek screening of One Tree Hill’s 9th season opener by the cast last week, one of the show’s beloved characters is not going to make it through the season.

After eight seasons of hoop dreams and relationship drama one could hardly fault James Lafferty for wanting to hang up his sneakers. But just how serious is he about preparing to say goodbye to Nathan Scott, the character he has been playing since he was 17 years old? We recently caught up with the actor to find out just that, as well as have him reflect on One Tree Hills’ remarkable longevity as we head towards what may-or-may-not be the hit CW show’s final act.
Did you ever imagine that eight years later you’d still be shooting One Tree Hill?
James Lafferty: Not really. I think it was kind of impossible to imagine that we would go eight seasons like that, especially having been on the bubble after pretty much every season where we never really knew our fate. That said, I think just to have that streak...
