1960s singer who sang under the name Eden Kane and had a number one hit in 1961 with "Well I Ask You". Further UK hits with "Forget me not" and "Boys cry".
Brother of fellow singers
Peter Sarstedt
and Robin/
Clive Sarstedt
(aka Wes Sands).
He is also reputed to have starred in a movie in 1960 called "Drinks All Round" but any further information is hard to come by.
When his singing career began to wane, he moved to California to become a record producer.
Since 1969, married to American journalist Charlene Groman, sister of actress Stefanie Powers.
Inspired by Bill Haley, he learned guitar and formed a skiffle group, the Fabulous 5, which included his younger brothers.
Born in New Delhi, British India, to parents Albert James and Coral (nee Byrne).
