- Terence Ryan is a British writer-director, winner of the Cork Film Festival with his film "Gerald Manley Hopkins". Also nominated as Best Director in the Canadian Gemini Awards for his direction of "Going Home" a feature film about the fate of Canadian soldiers kept in Northern England after World War I. He has written, produced and directed over 100 films covering the genres of drama, romance and comedy. - After directing Going Home (1987), which he co-produced with Ray Marshall, Terry decided to only use his full name Terence Ryan for all his screen credits. He has also directed the film _Blind Justice (1988/I)_ starring Oliver Reed and Christopher Cazenove. Amoung the many films he has produced the is silent comedy The Big Freeze (1993) starring Bob Hoskins. He wrote and directed and produced the film _Brylcreem Boys, The (1997)_ filmed on the Isle of Man and starring Gabriel Byrne, Billy Campbell, William McNamara and Sir John Mills.
