What compels someone to own a famous movie car? That's the question that Christopher Rutkowski is exploring in a new video series that documents the ultra-nerdy world of film car collectors. The first episodes focus on two of the greatest cinematic vehicles: the DeLorean Dmc-12 and the Batmobile. Lenny Hochteil owns a time machine that travels back to 1981. His customized DeLorean offers a true Back to the Future experience — the film that obviously inspired his obsession. Rutkowski tells us in this seven-minute clip that the vehicle costs about the same today as it did in the '80s: around 20 grand.
